This place is essentially a two bedroom college dorm with the bare essentials. This is not even a motel. However, this place will usually have the lowest prices around, especially during high season (costing significantly less than the next cheapest hotel). As long as you realize you are literally staying in a college dorm, then you shouldn't have a problem. You have the necessities and the front staff (who I assume are college students) provide great service and are very accommodating. I feel that a lot of the bad reviews were from people who had no idea what they were walking into.

This was a gem in the rough find. All hotels and AB&Bs were way more expensive this this wonderful conference center. The check in was easy, coffee and tea always available, rooms super clean and nice, great little kitchen. Great price and close to everything.

This is a last resort place to stay. Clean but dingy and bleak rooms. Very basic as you'd expect a dorm room to be and it is very much a dorm room. The issue is that we paid about $120/nt which was, in our view, about twice the reasonable rate - and this was a deal associated with a wedding we were attending. In short, life is too short. If one was on a very tight budget and had a large group and could get these rooms for closer to $60 or 70/nt, go for it.

It’s a dorm room, nothing fancy. But you have 2 bedrooms which are clean. A shared kitchen and bathroom which is also clean. It’s a great price point, and only half an hour away from Niagara Falls. Great staff too. Very pleasant and helpful.

Yes this building is filled with well mannered, nice students from the college. Keep this is mind, this is set up for students who are on the go, here to study. This is by no means a hotel room or an apartment or a "suite." YES, this is a “dorm style” residential environment. NO, there is not a stove/oven, only a microwave. NO, there is not a single utensil, condiment, bowl, plate, coffee maker, nothing in the room. Pack up your travel stuff. YES, there is Keurig coffee and tea in the lobby with creamer cups and sugar packs. YES, there is a huge fridge and “kitchen area” i.e. sink, drawers, etc., but there is no dish soap, sponge, nothing. YES, there is shampoo, soap in the shower. No bathtub. No hairdryer. There is laundry available on the ground floor. The lighting is horrible in the kitchen, and there is a small table with 2 chairs. Again, this is dorm style, so there are 2 separate bedrooms, both with TV’s and both with desks. There is not a main living area such as a couch, end tables, etc. The bedrooms are spacious and private. The building is safe and well secured. Parking is plentiful. YES, there is construction is this is part of the college, but we were not impacted by it. YES, it was very quiet and the air conditioning worked swimmingly. YES, this is clean enough, but I travel with Clorox wipes where ever we go. The beds are comfortable enough and up very high off the ground for extra storage. Now listen carefully as this is the most important. It’s about the Wi-Fi. In one of our bedrooms there is hard wired internet. Take your laptop and Windows 10 has a built in feature for internet sharing called mobile hotspot. This allows you to create your own, personal Wi-Fi network so you can connect your Wi-Fi devices to the internet. Thus, we have both out laptops, Alexa, mobile phones, everything is on and running. I am currently connected to the Wi-Fi via my partners computer in the other bedroom and I am getting 40 mbps down and 40 mbps up. We are not complaining. And there is “free Wi-Fi” in the lobby, but many reviewers are complaining about not having Wi-Fi in their rooms. This is how you bypass that. It appears that in some units both bedrooms have an ethernet cord, but our unit does not.

Accessibile for those with limited walking capabilities who might also use a scooter or wheelchair but can walk a few steps in a washroom. Spacious bedrooms and kitchen. Washroom cramped, could not fit any equipment but a cane, not likely cane crutches. Tile floor was not slippery and there were no tripping hazards. Shower tiny, no room for bath seat, can sit on toilet and wash hands at same time, very tight. The hotel may have rooms with accessible bathrooms that you can ask for, none left on our date of travel. Entrance to hotel was level with ground, no steps or thresholds. Furnishings in kitchens and bedrooms all could work for wheelchair or scooter, lots of turning room. There is no real sitting room, just a kitchen with table and 2 chairs. A true college residence feel. Painted a dull grey throughout, not a single picture on walls, very in keeping with being a student residence. Carpet in hallway exceptionally filthy, guessing regular cleaning staff either on strike or on summer vacation. Room had been cleaned and standard towels and soap supplied but was not terribly well cleaned. No kitchen supplies whatsoever, no dish soap or even paper towels. Grim fluorescent lights in kitchen flickered, other guests compared rooms to prison cells, can't disagree. If you can get this room for under $100 and you need a kitchen to prepare meals for kids with allergies then this hotel might work for your family. Functional and utilitarian, no frills, minimum standard for comfort. Note that WiFi is only available for free in the lounge/breakfast area beside front desk. Well stocked continental breakfast with fruit and about 4 options for each of Keurig coffee or tea.

This is the Niagara Colleges Residences on 1st street in Welland, 15 miles or so south- east of the Falls. Spacious double dorm rooms for $90 or less. I'm rating it high because the two front-desk gals, Emily and Amanda, were super helpful, going so far as to book a Megabus for me to the Niagara Falls bus terminal after I'd been given bad info about Megabuses from St. Catherine's to the US. Centrally located in the Niagara region, but if you are using local transit the Welland transfers are instantaneous or not at all. No hour and a half or longer time to eat, shop, gawk at the Welland Canal or whatever.

Rooms are very spaceious and clean, full size refigerator and microwave if you are staying a few days. We were there in the summer and the air conditioning nearly froze us out, it was great. Good experience all around. Service was very good. No wyfi but each room has its own eithernet cord for laptops.

This was our second stay here and it was clean and comfortable. We are usually out early in the AM and not back until late so it was perfect and central to everywhere we needed to go. Staff was friendly and very accommodating. Only downside was that we were initially given a room on the main floor that smelled quite musty. We asked to be put on the 3rd floor, and without hesitation they obliged. No issues with the second room. Internet is wired in the room, so we had to hotspot for the ipad, but otherwise great value for the price.

Actually, Niagara College has two locations - Trip Advisor is behind on this. We stayed at Niagara College Residence at the Niagara on the Lake location. College dorms have certainly improved since the previous millenium. Rooms were clean with separate sleeping rooms, large bathrooms (towels could be nicer) daily maid service. Front Desk staff are helpful and knowledgeable. From this location in niagara on the lake, you're only 20 min from either Niagara Falls or Niagara on the Lake Village. Right off the QEW and very close to large outlet shopping mall. wi-fi is not available up in rooms but is accessible on first floor
