Front desk staff were very helpful and friendly. Room was spacious and overall clean. However when getting ready to leave found a rotten apple under bed skirt. Breakfast was just okay, hot foods were barely lukewarm. Asked if there was almond milk and was told they only had "normal milk". Some of us are unable to drink normal milk due to an intolerance. Some lactose free yogurt would have been appreciated. Found the toilet very low, with bad knees this was a bit of an issue. Saw several people in the common areas without masks. Location was great, across from the farmers market and 30 minute drive to several villages.

Very friendly and clean . The staff was great friendly and helpful. They did everything to ensure guests and staff are safe .Food was good and one young lady was very kind to try and help me because I have a cane plus a brace on my left hand . I have never been help like that before she was so sweet to be so helpful. In the elevators had a sign saying when the most people are in the breakfast area . The rooms were very comfy and clean . We have stayed there before and we always enjoyed it there . Unfortunately beyond their control people smoked in the parking lot beside our car and one rude person took off their mask then disposed of it by our car . It did get cleaned up .Thus because our car was beside a pillar people would dispose of trash there and not in the refuse cans that are there . Otherwise you can't say anything bad about the hotel just cause the public refuse to put trash in the proper place . I gladly recommend this hotel because they go out of the way to be careful of everyone's safety and are very clean, kind.

We are so surprised to have seen mold in the bathroom. In addition the bathroom ceiling was falling apart. When we brought this to the attention of front staff, they did nothing and they were completely booked. We talked to management the following day, did not receive a discount for this trip but offered a discount the next time we would book. We were told we would receive an email with this code, but did not receive anything! Wonder why we would book this hotel again. We were told that there was a leak 1 week ago above room, but no one thought of repairing the below room. Disgusting and cannot believe that the management placed us in this room.

I send a lot of time on the road, and the last thing I want to have to do is ask for the absolute basics. Upon checking in, we were assisted by a middle aged french speaking female. Difficult would describe the situation at best. Reservations were made through a third party company that handles all the reservations for our employees. Every car rental, flight and hotel stay has been flawless up until this particular hotel check-in. It was our fault that the information wasn’t in the system according to her. We called the rep that handles our bookings. He walked her through her system and explained all the info that was transferred to the hotel. Oooops. It was all in there the whole time. Not an apology or anything for wasting our time. Next- it was getting later in the evening, i left my room card key in the room- I needing a new room card, asked for one, received one, thanked her for the replacement. Silence... (your welcome?!?) Next day- call the hotel, explained the e room smelled like an animal had lived in there. The man whom took the call asked if I wanted to switch rooms, I declined as we were going to go to another hotel, at which point he offered to apply air freshener. Awesome. Came back to a fresh smelling room. Jumped in the shower, got all clean, only to get out and not find a single towel, facecloth or any other linen to dry myself with. Call the front desk. “We will be there shortly” shortly?!? Is that 5 minutes, 10 minutes, half an hour? Use the bed sheets to dry myself. Turned out 10 minutes is what it took to get towels to the third floor. Go to the front desk and ask “why aren’t there towels in my room?” To get a reply of “you should have told us” not a single sorry or apologetic bone in this poor excuse for customer service in her body. She’s in the wrong business. Or I’m in the wrong hotel. Never again. Sorry holiday inn Waterloo. You suck.

This was our second time staying at this hotel, first was early last year, pre pandemic. We stayed on Saturday night with our grandchildren. Check in was smooth, the pool “rules” well constructed; there’s now a max of 10 allowed in pool and you book a time slot. The ONLY thing that wasn’t particularly well executed was the breakfast. Now it is included so no reasonable visitor should expect haute cuisine . The line ups to pre order were not organized. During these safe distancing time while we’re in a reopening phase, we think pre ordering breakfast at check in and booking a time slot would be safer and much easier. We WILL stay again, it’s a great location and staff cheery, helpful and most congenial.
