King room was spacious & comfortable. Bath was spacious and well-designed with large walk-in shower. Our room was next to the elevator - but we never heard it while inside. Room was very quiet. Front desk staff were friendly & efficient; they told us that due to covid, housekeeping would only happen if we requested one day in advance. No worries - because housekeeping delivered replacement towels etc each day when we requested.

This is a nice property located close to the university with spacious and clean rooms. Bathroom is also nice with standup shower. Parking is convenient except that you have to pay for it. Restaurant looks nice, but has very odd hours. One staff working behind the counter was very arrogant, when asked about food options, not something you expect at a nice hotel.

Stayed at this hotel a few weekends in a row, then asked for a certain room for the next weekend, they said no problem. Got there on Thursday, didn't have the room available I had asked for, gave me another room that the shower leaked badly. Got moved to a different room, two nights later an alarm goes off at 3:00 in the morning. Not a fire alarm, just a generic alarm. Guy at desk tells me it's an alarm saying there is water in the basement. Don't know why I need to get woke up to tell me that when I'm on the 9th floor. Ask them about laundry service, they say sure, bring your stuff down in the morning. I do and somehow they screw that up and I don't get my clothes back that afternoon and get to wear dirty clothes to work. Finally shows up the next afternoon. The quality of the rooms really varies, it's a surprise every time. Just seems like a horribly managed property and I will not stay there again.

Thing 1 ======= Our room was 27C - the air conditioner wasn't working. These things happen. The real problem was that when I called the front desk, their idea of customer service is to convince the customer they are wrong. The front desk first told me my room was NOT hot and that I had confused Fahrenheit with Celsius. I asked them if they knew what 27 Fahrenheit was - they didn't. I explained it would be -2C so literally freezing. Next they told me I needed to be patient because the air conditioner was enviro-friendly and it would take 30 minutes before it produced cold air. I waited. I called back. They came up and confirmed the room was very hot. They reset the air conditioning unit. It still did not produce cold air. I waited. I called again. This time they said we would need to pack up and change rooms - we gave up - by this time we had unpacked. At 3am when we could not sleep, I went down to the front desk. The new person there went through the same script - was I sure I wasn't confusing Fahrenheit with Celsius? - did I know the units can take a while to produce cold air? - did I know the unit might need to be reset? After much discussion, they gave us a room to sleep in. Thing 2 ======= We arrived just before 9pm. By the time we got to our room it was 9pm and as we learned the only restaurant in the hotel closed at 9 and with it the room service. I asked about breakfast for the morning. No they replied, there was no breakfast, it wasn't that kind of restaurant. I asked if there was a tuck-shop with snacks and cold drinks. Many Delta's have these. They said they had closed theirs some years before. I asked if we could get something cold to drink - it was after all 27C in our room. They said all they had was vending machines. This is a 4-star hotel? Vending Machines? Thing 3 ======= At about 4am a small yappy dog was barking for 13 minutes. Just enough to fully wake us up. We debated calling the front desk but decided not to - they would just tell us we were wrong. The hotel is after all located right beside an experimental physics research centre. They would probably tell us it was Shrondinger's dog :)

Stayed here for one night. Place was not busy because of Covid. Front desk gave me free parking when checking in. Typical Delta room; clean, modern, and sleek. Will definitely stay here again on my next business trip to the area.
