3 days business meeting, all was great, nice meeting room, nice room, great bar, good beer, great colleagues. Always felt like home in an Hilton hotel. Quebec, Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver, Kitchener and even Hawaii Hilton Resort in Waikiki! Always feel like home :)
What makes this hotel special are the people, from the very helpful people at the front desk to the welcoming staff in the dining room. The rooms are well equipped with large TVs and small but functional fridges. They are not cleaned every day for a multi-day stay, but will be done on request. Located near a busy highway, rooms are quite quiet, but don't expect a great scenic view. The dining room offers great breakfast buffet, a limited but very tasty and well-prepared menu for lunch and dinner (but not on Sunday evening.) S[pecial nods to Janet and Edgardo in the dining room as well as the front desk staff.
Stayed here for a week for a business trip. The hotel staff were all nice and I got my welcome cookie (best part of the stay). The room was nice, fairly clean. There was a stain on the headboard, and the chair and ottoman were all stained. I ended putting a towel on the chair as I wasnt sure what it was. The bed was comfy, bathroom was nice, light was bright but not good for putting make up on. Had a mini fridge, but wished it had a microwave too. There's a breakfast buffet downstairs but they said it $18.90 I think, so I skipped that. Coffee and a muffin a Tim's will do! Was going to use the pool but I had to go through the big lobby, and bar area to get to it. The pool is at the front so everyone walking by outside the hotel entrance sees you. Would prefer it more at the side or back kind more private! But that's just me! Honestly I spent 1 night at the Radisson across the street and I think I enjoyed my room over there better It had a nice comfy lounge couch, mini fridge and microwave. They were going through renos but the room was 100.00 cheaper over there, might go up when renos are over though! …
I was first told rooms were not available then I was asked how I am paying for my stay and later I was told yes I rooms are available! The 2nd time round I was told they are updating the system for the day and she was not willing to turn back on the system.....come on the service is a joke at this property check in. I have made my thought well known to the manager Felix who assured me actions will be taken. I hope Hilton can audit the service at this particular property
Great hotel, clean, great breakfast great service. Nice mid range hotel so much nicer then other nearby hotels highly recommend. Breakfast omelette was great and the service from Edgar was outstanding
I just completed my 3rd stay yesterday in the past couple of months at this beautiful property. It is now my hotel of choice when I visit Kitchener. All staff are very friendly and helpful during my entire stay including Lyndon, Marg, Janet, Sergio, Felix and Jasna. There are others but I couldn't remember all the times. Lyndon, if my LBJ ( Lyndon Baines Johnson) jokes get tiresome please let me know. I arrived in Kitchener on Saturday without making a reservation and upon my arrival they were sold out. ( It was Canada Day weekend). Sergio, Jasna and Felix asked me to take a seat and they would do their best to see if a room could be made available and " voila " a room was found after not too long. I enjoyed the delicious Doubletree Chocolate Chip Cookies. ( very popular with other guests as well) The room as always is very well appointed with full amenities and toiletries, good quality TV, mini-fridge, mini-safe, a desk to eat and do work, good quality mattress, very clean room. My room had a microwave oven but unsure if this is standard I each room. Great free wifi. I had a very restful sleep. I was accommodated early checkin/ late checkout and no extra charge Parking is free Staff is super friendly with great sense of humour and I enjoyed interacting with them . There is a very pleasant atmosphere in this hotel and I notice other guests with smiles on their faces enjoying the ambience. I enjoyed the breakfast buffet and also had dinner. As a Hilton Honors Diamond member breakfast was complimentary but for those who are not I believe the charge is quite reasonable The fitness room was perfectly adequate with a couple of cardio machines as well as a set of dumbells, benches and other equipment. For those who need a full service gym there are several closeby. There is a pool although I didn't use. There is a large shopping mall within walking distance as well as other restaurants etc.…
Edgar, Vivian, Lyndon, Marg and Janet elevated our visit to Kitchener to celebrate the life of our kid sister Carol. They took care of our Harlton family, brought tea to my triplets in the lounge and watched over us. We had lovely connecting rooms and staff are kind and very helpful. Highly recommended!!!
We stayed overnight after a late concert. It was a very nice hotel. Everything was up to date and clean. Good Wifi, working frig, nice hardwood floors. When we returned to our room that night we had problems with our drapes, they were caught on the hooks of the sheers. We couldn't get them closed. After they sent someone to fix them for us, we were told to call the desk to ask for another room. They couldn't fix the curtains. We were sistuated above the entrance of the hotel. Therefore, the lights from the entrance would be on all night. After a few minutes, they found an empty room on the same floor which we went to. The staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. Very happy with the service.
This hotel is good for the family trip. The rooms were clean and neat. Even we only used it shortly as we had to go to an event, we did enjoy the good sleep. I would say I will come back here if I’m in the area.
We took our son here and had a blast. All staff were kind and helpful. Especially towards our son. Our room was nice and clean. The pool was nice and clean as well. Could have been a smidge warmer but it wasn’t bad. It was a good place to spend the night.
