Dated and run down. Hotel staff tried to scam me on the price of the room despite my confirmation quoting a lower rate and then waited for me to check in and called me at 10:30 pm to tell me my rate was not being honoured. Spend the extra $20 and stay somewhere nicer because they’re going to try to charge you more anyhow.
Was finally able to visit our daughter in another province and booked a room at the Quality inn Kitchener. It is very close to the airport especially if you are needing to be there at 4am which I was. Check in was okay, was the only person waiting to check in but the clerk was on the phone with another customer, had only 1 person working the desk. Room was clean, fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Free Wifi which we did not try. No pool but I did see a hot tub, it was closed due to COVID. Halls were quite noisy at night which was not great as I had to get up at 4am. Breakfast being offered is a bag style breakfast, we did not opt to get it. Hotels and restaurants are now open and begging for business. I suggest if you are wanting business and are open then start opening up all your services, I am feeling at times COVID is a great excuse not to move forward and do what is easiest. However in saying this, I just wanted a hotel close to the airport and the price was under a $100, I would stay there again.…
My stay at the Quality Inn was pretty good. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable & the free breakfast was adequate to get the day started. My only negative is that my room was facing the adjacent highway & while the room was reasonably quiet there was definitely a constant sound of traffic outside. For the price I paid it was fine for a night.
After one day stay they call my room and tell me there is a ‘ no visitor allowed policy . I literally had one visitor a family member come see me for few minutes. It’s not written nowhere in the hotel neither the booking site . New owners and literally so rude . The place is outdated the microwave not working . For the price you pay save it there are way more better hotels in that area . Gluck through Christmas as a no guest policy it’s not lockdown restrictions. I travel all over for business and I’m well known with hotel owners . This staff was so rude and unprofessional. Gluck to new owners
POOR QUALITY Inn. While this place looks nice at check in the need to put more care into room. Hotel is in disrepair and lacked safety services. We had no hot water, no phone, no tv. Massive fire hazard with electrical plug all damaged & sofa bed against it. Checked in late with two kids and had to get up early so no time for room change.
We have stayed here many times prior to Covid, and I generally give them a good review, but our recent 2 night stay was poor and we will not be staying here next time, unfortunately. Here’s why: our room smelt very strongly of cleaner and a deodorizing machine was in action when we arrived. The window was open and the fan was running. The door was unlocked. Apparently, the supervisor failed to check that the room was ready to be occupied, which it was not. This was more than Covid cleaning. There was a missing bedside table and lamp. No cleaning was done after that first night, and there is a small notice to say no cleaning etc would be done for even 5 night stays! Wet towels should be left outside the room. However we were not informed of this, so we were not expecting it. Lack of communication here. Breakfast was no different from normal meaning that there was a total lack of “Covid hygiene”. Minor hockey teams often stay here. On Saturday night young kids were noisily playing outside past 10pm. The bed was comfortable. The fridge useful. …
Oh boy this last room needed lots of TLC (mold, towel racks falling, holes in the walls and we even blew the breaker to the room). I took photo’s to the front desk and they ended up reducing the room rate. The staff were very apologetic and pleasant. The beds were clean and it had a fridge, microwave and a working TV. And there was a coin washer/dryer in which I did another round of laundry. There was a free hot breakfast with great coffee however it was packed with people so there was a wait to get food.
The man at check in was very rude. Very unaccomidating. The room had a funny smell. None of the lights were plugged in. The shower curtain had snot all over it. The fridge had someone else's food in it. Wants impressed with our stay at all. Working in the hotel industry myself for several years I understand somethings get missed and sometimes out of your control but very upset with the service we received. We will not be back.
Friendly check in. Hallways looked old and worn. We were given a room on the second floor. Room was clean which is always a plus. Room hade a fridge and microwave. Decor and carpet (clean) were old. TV was older and picture was stretched and looked distorted. Channel Not much of a channel selection. Overall it was a good for a quick overnight.
Rude staff not accommodating. We checked in late at 2am un the morning and requested a late check out staff told me to call the front desk at 8:30 am to ask. Why would that be necessary. I'm only asking for a noon check out. It's Tuesday hotel only half full. The bed us worn out . King bed but 2 people sink to the center. Highway noise very loud, older windows without sound barrier. Curtains don't block out light. There are much better hotels with better customer service. I won't be returning
