This hotel is pretty great. The rooms and beds are very comfortable. Bathroom is cute but could use some more counter space. The hot tub is huge and warm but not all of the blowers work. The pool is cool as there are windows that you can see people through underneath. There is a bowling ally which costs extra and a mini put that basic and also cost extra. The exercise room is pretty good. There is a sauna but I didn't go in it this time. There is also a game room but the boys were disappointed because some of the games didn't work. We had breakfast in the restaurant and it was good. Didn't eat lunch or dinner there. There is an area in the lobby where you can sit. We were sitting there playing cards and had some water and pop on the table. One of the staff came and said we weren't allowed to have outside drinks there. We thought that was odd! There is a parking garage. The exit is not well placed and I mostly had to get out of the car to put the ticket in the machine. The front door where you pull in could be bigger.

The hotel is nicely decorated, and conveniently located on the main street. The parking is a little weird, down a lane way that separates the parking garage from the hotel lobby. The check in is efficient and the staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are sized adequately, with the usual expected amenities (cable tv, free wifi, microwave, mini fridge, etc.). The beds are comfortable, which is always the main thing. Street noise in the morning (and church bells/chimes on Sundays) can be a little bothersome, but not unexpected for a King St. location. It's a bargain in the off-season, but I'd hate to pay the full price shown on the back of the door.

This hotel is modern and well kept. Rooms are good size and have hair dryers, irons, shower gel, shampoo, coffee maker with coffee and tea etc and a good amount of storage. The restaurant is very nice but the menu is a little limited for me as I like to try different things but the food I did have was cooked well and presented lovely. Breakfast buffet was of a good standard and at a very reasonable price. The service here stands out for me, the staff are very friendly and seem to always want to help. Highly recommended this hotel if wanting to stay in the area.

Location of hotel is perfect.. walking distance to centre in the square.
Took in a collective soul concert with my wife.

Staff is so friendly…. One lady in particular provided us with excellent service and a big smile every time we saw her.
(Heera)

Definetly stay here again.

Only complaint is hot tub and sauna shut down.

My wife liked breakfast❤️

They are all very nice and speak very kindly to you, but its all scripted. Great choice location wise considering all the spots you can walk to.
Things just aren't up to cleanliness standard, and the wait for assistance is far too long. I do understand things may get busy on the weekend. However, I had to specifically request cleaning supplies to be able to clean the bathroom and jaccuzi. I do understand I have a higher standard of cleanliness. When I asked for some sanitizing wipes, they reassured me that the room was even inspected by a secondary person for cleanliness. I had my doubts about the jacuzzi when i walked in because though it looked great from afar, upon inspection it looked scuffed and scratched up. Which i can understand it being unreasonable to replace it just cause of that, but when I ran the jacuzzi for 15 mins and drained the water, I was left with gross stuff all around the tub and in it from the jets and piping. Ruins the experience for us since we specifically booked the room for the jacuzzi. Waiting on for almost 2 hours now for housekeeping, having already called twice for them. Cut into our dinner and entertainment plans.
I had the worst experience with their assistant manager Michelle, she was incredibly rude and unprofessional speaking to me when i called front desk about the dirty jets. She was told by customer care to give me a call after i contacted them for the 3rd time, half an hour later still nothing. Found out later she just went home without even passing on the responsibility to someone else. Contacted customer care again, was told that the manager would be aware and call the room at 10am with solutions. 1030am, heard nothing so went down to only be told he can do nothing and is sorry. It's a constant loop between customer care and the hotel, no one can actually do anything other than offer me some points for the trouble. As if I'd ever book with them again. Stay very far away from here. Special one night away ruined very easily.
Update: found out from customer care the since they're not the direct merchant(the hotel) they can't issue a refund. That was something that should've been done on the premises by the hotel. So why when I asked they couldn't do that and when I contacted customer care multiple times from 10pm to 1am, they told as long as I'm on the property, checked in it is the hotels responsibility to make things right. As soon as I'm off property, checked out Customer care will have the power to do me right. Just why am I paying double the price for the jacuzzi feature if I didnt/couldnt even use it. I was willing to move to a standard room when they hadn't cleaned it the first time or let me at least pay standard room price if you're all booked up.

I have travelled and eaten breakfasts all over North America and beyond. Having owned and operated a Bed and Breakfast I have a pretty good idea what constitutes a good breakfast. The breakfast buffet here was the absolute WORST I have had anywhere in my life. It was barely edible. The Eggs Benedict was kept warm in a steamer and was soggy and wet. The English muffin had not been toasted (nor would it have mattered), was soggy and wet. The egg yoke was cooked solid and the Hollandaise had no flavour at all. All of the other food was also kept in steamers and was unappealing. The bacon was even wet and soggy and did not look like real bacon. The coffee station in the room had two tea bags, two sugars and no stir sticks. The room was quite nice but the tv had no local channels and several channels on the guide did not work.

Room was decent A/C was very loud.
Housekeeping was very poor. We needed to continuously ask for clean towels, toilet paper (the lowest quality that you can get), tissue and garbage pick up even after signing a housekeeping card as to what services we would like. The phone in the room continuously flashed as if we had a message. We did not have a message and no one on staff knew how to clear the settings in order to stop the phone from flashing. We needed to ask for towels in the pool and fitness area as well. The bowling alley lanes are not maintained they are all dented and the 5 pin bowling balls are all chipped so they wobble all the way down the alley. The front desk staff, other than Michelle was very slow. It seemed like they all lacked experience and professionalism in the hospitality industry. Michelle was the best front desk person and hopefully will become the manager of the hotel and correct everything that is not right! We all needed to repeat ourselves as to what we needed and when we needed by (having said that only Michelle was able to fulfill the task! . We made the biggest mistake to have breakfast in the Aqua Restaurant. Service was poor and the food was disgusting. The fresh fruit that was cut up smelled rancid. The vegetables seemed like they were from a few days ago as they were all shriveled up and had a bad smell. The tea we ordered was luke warm when we received it and the juice and chocolate milk we ordered as we sat down came at the end of our breakfast. They double charged me for parking for one night and the administration is deciding whether or not to credit my credit card.

Used to come to this property a couple of times a year just to enjoy whirlpool, restaurant and nicely appointed rooms. My last visit a few weeks ago will be my last. Booked a room for 3 adults and coffee station had 2 cups and coffee or tea for 2. Was told at desk that this was 'standard' practice. What?? Ran out of toilet paper on the first day of visit and had to go down to desk to ask for some. Telephone didn't work so couldn't call and ask. Told manager at check out that phone didn't work and she gave no response. Worst of all, the lovely whirlpool that we had looked forward to enjoying is gone - filled in, and, sauna had a padlock on it. I expressed my disappointment at front desk and also mentioned they should put a disclaimer on website that these amenities have been closed down and was told that 'maintenance staff would be notified of my complaint.' Maintenance?? What are they supposed to do? Dig a hole and fill it with water? The breakfast used to also be something we enjoyed. Now, you get your own coffee, no one comes to your table with anything. I got up to get a coffee and guess what - carafe was empty though 3 or 4 staff were visible and restaurant was full. The evening before, we went to restaurant and ordered coffee with baileys to go with our desserts. The two staff at bar (one obviously a manager) couldn't seem to figure out what baileys was and when another staff member finally appeared with a bottle from outside of restaurant, our server didn't know what we meant by 'coffee with baileys.' I understand it is difficult to find staff these days but either give them some basic training or some supervision while they learn. A disappointing stay at a property we had always enjoyed so much.

Here’s my honest review… never again! Some problem with computer tech when we arrived had to wait about 20-30 minutes to check in and get our room keys. The room was fine. Nothing special at all. And the washroom was terribly small. The shower goes all over the floor. The bed had a huge hump in the middle…trying to find my husband was like climbing Mount Everest. We put the sign out to have the room made up and they never came. We ran out of clean towels… we needed some to sop up the water on the floor. The area around the hotel is scary!!! I’m so glad we didn’t bring the kids. There has to be shelters or a psych ward very close by. Men yelling profanities all through the street. Next time we will stay in St Jacobs. Here was the kicker. I paid for the hotel through Hotwire. Then I noticed one day into our stay an unusual charge from crowne plaza. So I went to the front desk and was assured it would fall off it was only pending. Woke up two days later to see my credit card had been charged over $400 no longer listed as pending. When I called the hotel I was told to write an email and take pictures of my credit card statement showing the charges. No response so I called again and was assured it would be rectified. I’m still waiting for $153 to come off my credit card but the $253 has been refunded. For people who don’t check their credit cards BEWARE!!!! And there was no way we could ever eat at the hotel either the dining room is directly beside the pool. You could have a side of chlorine with your eggs!

We stayed at the Crowne Plaza Kitchener for 3 weeks -Mon.to Friday due to health issues at the hospital. . We found everything to be satisfactory. The staff were very pleasant and the breakfast servers were great especially Carol. Housekeeping was fine - if we needed anything the staff were more than pleased to give us towels, etc. We did not need daily cleaning as we were there for the entire week. The furnace in our room did not seem warm enough so we mentioned it to front desk and a space heater was in our room that day. Very accommodating!

It's about 55 or 60 km. The drive takes about an hour, but there is still construction on King Street, so it can be slow going once you reach K-W and there may be detours.
