My 9yr old son and I stayed for 4 nights. The inn has been lovingly restored by the current owners whose passion for what they do is obvious. Their attention to detail, and in ensuring all guests have everything they need from in depth local information to finely tuned breakfast orders, is excellent and lacking in many similar establishments. We...

I stayed for one night with a friend in the twin room, and as soon as we arrived, we thought we should have stayed for longer! All staff members were so warm and welcoming. Our beds were very comfortable and the jacuzzi bath was a bonus! The breakfast was outstanding, which we had outside while overlooking the beautiful lake. We...

I was in Canada for my honeymooon, and several months before going I shooted a lot of questions to Nancy, and she always answered me very kindly, one of the best hosts I have ever had in a hotel. They are very interesting people and incredible hosts, unfortunatelly they had to go for a book conference, but they left the...

My husband and I stayed for one night in Room 5. This is a beautiful old inn and our room had two big windows facing the lake (and another facing the road). The room and ensuite were well-furnished and very clean. Jaqi was very friendly and welcoming (the owners were away when we were there). Breakfast was great; we had...

We stayed at the Inn for a Family weekend and had marvelous time. We travelled with our dog and were all welcomed! Every single detail contributed to our perfect vacation – rooms were nicely set up, very clean and had everything we could wish for; delicious food and great location. We went to the Arrowhead park one day and then...

Portage Inn B&B is set in a beautiful secluded area with nothing around. It has a cozy cottage feel and isn't urbanized at all. The staff are amazing! Very friendly, will help with anything, really care about the place and want you to have a great visit. Rooms are beautiful, and the house itself is gorgeous. I would recommend this...

Wonderful two night stay at the end of January. Beautiful rustic charm in this 1889 Inn but still with all of the modern conveniences. A fabulous breakfast is served to you (at your choice of time) by Jaqi and Jayne in the main room..It was like eating in an antique store. Beautiful old tables, chairs and dishes. Very large bedroom...

Friendly welcome, hospitable staff & owners, local tourism/restaurant info provided, excellent size & comfortable room, excellent breakfasts, lovely views & large garden for walks or relaxation beside the lake. Would recommend & would stay again ourselves.

We stayed two nights in mid December, during a major snow fall. The owners and staff were wonderful to deal with. They were were friendly and very helpful. It was nice to find a resort where our small dog was welcome as well. The price was extremely reasonable and included a sumptuous breakfast. If you like the ambience of an...

Gorgeous location on Peninsula Lake. Owners Sidney and Nancy were warm and welcoming and very helpful. Sidney gave us a great cart ride through the Autumn colors and a divine boat ride at sunset on their silent solar powered boat. Peaceful reading time out by the lake, amazing stars at night. The great-room is cozy with a huge fireplace and...

“We have stayed twice. Room 7 was large with a large bathroom and a wonderful lake view. This time room 2 (Wild Rose) doesn't have a view of the lake but has a king bed, as opposed to Queen. It's hard to pick a favourite. Both are excellent.”
