While the staff was very friendly, accommodating and professional, the resort was clean but is showing its age. More information regarding the availability of the restaurants and buffet availability during reservation (one of four restaurants open the first night and "modified" breakfast buffet on the first morning) would have been appreciated along with a cooler room at night. Due to...

It's really a pity that Deerhurst has lost so much of its sparkle. The Bayshore is tired and the mattresses need to be replaced, the Fitness Centre is pathetic--not even a water cooler in the former raquet ball court, the food was average. Awesome staff however.

And there was a lack of activities to make up for the outdoor activities not being accessible. I would recommend deerhurst if the weather is in your favour but otherwise, not so much. Unless you have kids I guess. There was rock climbing and an arcade and the pool of course.

Was a good time however the building down by telephone water outside the main building is 10 min walk. Very inconvenient for using pool and restaurants. There was also a event going on while we were there. Would have been nice to know as I would have picked a different week. No parking set out for trailers and sled which...

We were amazed on how beautiful the resort was but were sad with the weather as we were unable to do a lot of the winter activities that were part of our special winter getaway package. Front desk service was able to decrease our room fee as we were unable to use the Arrow Head Park pass. We did find...

My girlfriend and I wanted to go on a mini-vacation to Hunstville to check out some of the trails at Arrowhead Park and the surrounding area. We found our accommodation at Deerhurst to be quite pleasant overall. We stayed in one of the Summit Lodges, which I recommend if you want to have the option to make your own food...

We had issues with our room that killed our first day in Huntsville because we had to move from the third to the first floor after complaining about our check in experience. The food on site is very limited and the Maple Pub closes at 4 pm most days. If you want a king suite in the Pavillion make sure...

Hello F2874OChelenc. Thank you for the compliments and constructive feedback. As we offer a variety of different types of accommodation with a variety of different room features. Should guests prefer cooking facilities, I would recommend reserving a Summit Lodge One Bedroom Suite or one of our Condos. Our Summit Lodges feature a kitchenette with basic cooking supplies designed for easy...

Went for two nights and was a little disappointed. I had been to Deerhurst many years ago and was very impressed, however now it seems the resort has gone downhill. The indoor tennis and squash courts have been taken out so if you happen to go and the weather is terrible you can't really do anything but go to the...

We found that Deerhurst was way over priced for what we got. We only did cross-country skiing on site. Our room was equivalent to a regular hotel. Dinner at Compass was really good. However, the breakfast buffet was inedible. We only ate the toast... We still paid full price for our meal and didn't complain to the server (because it's...
