I liked this place. We stayed in the motel and the rooms are quite adequate. The wood panelling made it feel comfortable, and the main house has some character. Fridge and microwave are handy. Hubby did not find bed comfortable but I was fine. Wifi was OK, better in some rooms than others. The manager was very friendly and all staff were helpful. They plan to open up a restaurant for dinner in the future. I only had one hot breakfast (for an extra $10) as it was terrible (perhaps a bad day for the cook?), and the complimentary continental breakfast was nice. Home baked goods, cereals and yogurt. It is on the edge of town so you do need a car. Yarmouth itself has little to offer, although the area does. The price was great and I would definitely stay here again rather than one of the chain places in town.

This old building is so beautifully decorated. The bed is comfy. Love the hardwood. The old fashioned 2 tap system (for cold and hot water) a little difficult to control. Hot breakfast served in their spacious dining room a bonus. We had a lovely stay. Thank you.

What a beautiful location, everyone was exceptionally friendly! We stayed in the motel branch and the room was immaculate and the most comfortable sleep! We are vegan, and they were so wonderful in accommodating us for breakfast with hot oatmeal, toast & pb, a gorgeous fruit plate, juice, and coffee. The collection of art and knickknacks from around the globe in the main house and building will keep you entertained for hours if you choose! We look forward to returning.

Hello Andrew, I have just started my position as the new Manager of Lakelawn B&B and Motel and I am reading all the amazing reviews. Thank you so much for yours! Lakelawn had recently gone through an ownership transfer during the season you came to visit. I am glad you loved it. We are working on improvements in our services. Offering a variety of options for our guests on a vegetarian, vegan, gluten free or dairy free is very important to us. Thank you again for your feedback and we hope to see you again soon.

Stayed one night for a quick business trip. Grounds and rooms are clean and comfortable. Had a room in the "tower" for an upgraded breakfast. WiFi is pretty good for email and basic web surfing. No A/C but stayed in Room 6 which had a nice southerly breeze come through the room. Will stay again.

If you are looking for the Ritz, drive by. There is no doubt that our room was not new however everything and everyone at this motel far surpassed any service that we have ever received (and we are pretty well travelled). The staff cannot do enough and go above and beyond for the slightest request. Our room was spotless and the grounds well kept. The breakfast was perfect and we will definitely be back.

Good afternoon, on behalf of the owner, who had just taken over the business a couple of months before your stay, I would like to thank you for this great review. We sure are not the Ritz, but I am glad to read that you have had a very pleasant stay at this beautiful place. As the new Manager I would love to welcome you in the future. We are working on more improvements. We hope to see you again.
