We stayed at this B & B with our traveling friends and had a marvelous time! Brenda and Bob were extremely friendly hosts and their place is beautiful and welcoming. The rooms were wonderfully decorated and the beds were super comfy. There was great care to provide guests with fine amenities and comfort. The delicious breakfast was generous and cooked to order. The setting of Lavender Sky is quiet and peaceful. Beaches are just a short drive away and we walked and beach-combed for miles. A truly lovely experience!!

This place is absolutely stunning! Everything was perfect, clean and cozy. The food was great, the scenery was breathtaking and the owners were amazing and extremely friendly. There's lots to do and see in the area; great beaches as well. Don't pass this one up!

My friend and I stayed recently at Lavender Sky for the second time. This home has been lovingly transformed from the ship captain's house that it was over a hundred years ago. The rooms are lovely, with an ocean breeze that comes in through new and easy-to-open windows. The bathrooms are spacious and really well appointed. Brenda has decorated the entire home in period style and your eye is drawn to one beautiful antique after another. The beds are extremely comfortable, there are plenty of towels, and It is clear that Brenda has thought to provide every comfort: bathrobes in the closet, pastries and bags of chips and snacks to have if you decide to make a tea or coffee, a variety of body lotions, bath salts and other extras if you want to soak in the claw foot tub under the skylight... On both visits, we arrived after dark and Brenda offered to bring me a glass of wine. In the morning, we were served a beautiful hot breakfast, along with fresh fruit and a yoghurt parfait to start. You truly feel like a welcome and honoured guest. This is a place where you feel you can relax, either in the supreme comfort inside, or with a 15 minute walk to the beach behind the property or just sitting outside at one of the tables in the sunshine. I would never choose to stay anywhere else when in that area. On this visit, we happily drove down after whale watching and dinner in Digby because we knew the comforts that awaited us.

Brenda and Bob are the most delightful, friendly, warm, accommodating people on Nova Scotia. They take care of your comfort in true style. We had the Crystal Room which is large, comfortable and beautifully detailed to please your sensibilities. The en suite bathroom is Phabulous! Claw foot tub, beautiful white porcelain shines, terrific rain shower head in separate new shower. A plethora of skin and bathing products are offered for your use, as well, in the large bathroom. The furnishings and accessories bring authentic detail to the older house which has been thoroughly renovated. Lovely gardens and grounds to walk through and appreciate are complete with garden cats who reside in the heated shed and enjoy visiting with you when approached. Brenda's breakfasts are delicious and generous and we loved chatting with Bob while she was in the kitchen. We stayed there the first night on Nova Scotia after getting off the CAT Ferry in Yarmouth...about a 20 minute drive from the ferry. We also chose to stay again on our last night after touring around both Cape Breton and Nova Scotia mainland. Please don't miss the friendliest, warmest introduction to this Canadian providence.

We stayed with Brenda and Bob last evening. We had the opportunity to meet their lovey daughter. Our entire experience was wonderful. The bed and breakfast is elegant but very warm and welcoming. We rose early to catch the ferry back to Portland Maine. Both Brenda and Bob were waiting for us with an incredible breakfast that was beyond delicious. We wanted to sit and visit far longer than time alllowed. We will be back again to see our new friends.

This was our second stay with Brenda and Bob, and they once again treated us to a wonderful and relaxing couple of days at their beautiful B&B. We can't say enough about Lavender Sky; truly a jewel in Nova Scotia! Brenda's attention to detail is first class, and it really shows in the all around quality of Lavender Sky. From the decor, rooms, and comfort, to the food, location, and hospitality, we were so happy once again with our stay. Brenda and Bob are the most wonderful hosts, and really go above and beyond to make people's stay special. They left us a personal card and chocolates in our room upon arrival! BREAKFAST IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING TOO! See the sunset there and you will see why the name is so suiting. Thank you again Brenda and Bob; you are amazing!

My husband and I visited Lavender Sky B & B on the nights of the 23rd and 24th of July, 2017 and we were absolutely delighted with our choice of accommodations. Along a quiet stretch of countryside highway leading to Yarmouth, is this elegant home! Brenda and Bob are the hosts, a real 'team' as they maintain their beautiful home in immaculate shape, both inside and out. They are both welcoming and they do everything possible to make your stay wonderful. Breakfast ... oh my, absolutely delicious, both mornings we were there. It was such a disappointment this morning when we were at home and I had to make my own breakfast and pour my own coffee! We are planning to book a visit next summer for several days of relaxation. Regarding bedding, all is top quality and the furnishings are beautiful. There are welcome amenities everywhere you look - unexpected treats and items that are more plentiful than anyone could expect. It reminded us of our cruises ... including chocolates on the pillows on our second morning. I could go on but I believe I've run out of space! Thank you Brenda and Bob! We'll see you next summer!

We arrived to a warm welcome and a lovely chat about the home, the area and Nova Scotia. The room was as everyone else said, amazing! You couldn't ask for more. It is a bit out of town so going back in for supper was a pain but that's the worst thing i can think of.

We stayed 2 nights in May 2017. Everything at this B & B is absolutely first class. Brenda took care of every detail in order to make our stay so comfortable. The rooms are spotlessly clean and bed was so luxurious. Breakfast was a real treat, will definitely be back and would highly recommend this to travellers looking for a unique place to stay. Thanks Brenda. Keith & Ann. Bedford NS.

Our family stayed there for 2 nights while attending a wedding in Yarmouth. Brenda was great and friendly,. She provided a fantastic breakfast with great variety. She was also very accommodating when we asked for breakfast to be served late as we were all tired from the long hours of travel. The rooms were comfortable, and there was coffee/tea plus snacks available. Also, lots of towels and toiletries were provided. However, just to note that the water is quite hard, so do not try to wash off the soapy feeling.
