We stayed at lavender in last year, after a few weeks of camping it was like paradise. The owner was a lovely host, the place is just gorgeous on an even lovelier setting. Everything in the house has been carefully chosen and designed. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds I've slept on. Our room was one of the bigger ones with an on-suite bathtub and shower. It was heaven. I would go back to Nova Scotia just to stay there!

Our stay was spectacular
Our hosts stupendous
The breakfast was the best
Totally a must stay place if your in Nova Scotia. This house is only a short drive from the ferry. The hospitality is over the top. Fresh tea and snacks every where. In your room we had more snacks and bottle water ( which I totally needed after our long ferry ride)
Your crazy if you don't stay here.

My wife Sue and I stayed at Lavender Sky on Saturday August 6th. It was our last night and best night during our 8 night 9 day visit to the Maritimes. Brenda greeted us with a glass of wine when we arrived and showed us to our room. The linens were top notch and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. All the amenities we needed were available including late night snacks, bottled water and tea and coffee. Breakfast was fantastic. We had to leave early to catch the ferry and Brenda provided us with a wonderful breakfast prior to us leaving. Highly recommended and would certainly stay next time we visit Yarmouth and for a longer visit.

My mother and I stayed at Lavender Sky B&B in late August. Brenda and Bob were great hosts and took very good care of us while we were there. Brenda's breakfast is delicious and goes above and beyond any place we have stayed at so far. Bob had some great recommendations of places to visit around the area. They are both super friendly and their love and hard work that they have put into their B&B is easily seen. If you are in the area I highly recommend staying here!

We stayed at this B & B with our traveling friends and had a marvelous time! Brenda and Bob were extremely friendly hosts and their place is beautiful and welcoming. The rooms were wonderfully decorated and the beds were super comfy. There was great care to provide guests with fine amenities and comfort. The delicious breakfast was generous and cooked to order. The setting of Lavender Sky is quiet and peaceful. Beaches are just a short drive away and we walked and beach-combed for miles. A truly lovely experience!!

My friend and I stayed recently at Lavender Sky for the second time. This home has been lovingly transformed from the ship captain's house that it was over a hundred years ago. The rooms are lovely, with an ocean breeze that comes in through new and easy-to-open windows. The bathrooms are spacious and really well appointed. Brenda has decorated the entire home in period style and your eye is drawn to one beautiful antique after another. The beds are extremely comfortable, there are plenty of towels, and It is clear that Brenda has thought to provide every comfort: bathrobes in the closet, pastries and bags of chips and snacks to have if you decide to make a tea or coffee, a variety of body lotions, bath salts and other extras if you want to soak in the claw foot tub under the skylight...
On both visits, we arrived after dark and Brenda offered to bring me a glass of wine. In the morning, we were served a beautiful hot breakfast, along with fresh fruit and a yoghurt parfait to start. You truly feel like a welcome and honoured guest. This is a place where you feel you can relax, either in the supreme comfort inside, or with a 15 minute walk to the beach behind the property or just sitting outside at one of the tables in the sunshine. I would never choose to stay anywhere else when in that area. On this visit, we happily drove down after whale watching and dinner in Digby because we knew the comforts that awaited us.

My husband and I visited Lavender Sky B & B on the nights of the 23rd and 24th of July, 2017 and we were absolutely delighted with our choice of accommodations. Along a quiet stretch of countryside highway leading to Yarmouth, is this elegant home! Brenda and Bob are the hosts, a real 'team' as they maintain their beautiful home in immaculate shape, both inside and out. They are both welcoming and they do everything possible to make your stay wonderful. Breakfast ... oh my, absolutely delicious, both mornings we were there. It was such a disappointment this morning when we were at home and I had to make my own breakfast and pour my own coffee! We are planning to book a visit next summer for several days of relaxation. Regarding bedding, all is top quality and the furnishings are beautiful. There are welcome amenities everywhere you look - unexpected treats and items that are more plentiful than anyone could expect. It reminded us of our cruises ... including chocolates on the pillows on our second morning. I could go on but I believe I've run out of space! Thank you Brenda and Bob! We'll see you next summer!

We stayed 2 nights in May 2017. Everything at this B & B is absolutely first class. Brenda took care of every detail in order to make our stay so comfortable. The rooms are spotlessly clean and bed was so luxurious. Breakfast was a real treat, will definitely be back and would highly recommend this to travellers looking for a unique place to stay.
Thanks Brenda.

What can we say about this amazing B & B, from the welcome, to the rooms this is a place full of luxury the only problem is that you will not want to stay any where else!
Beds are super comfy and the bathroom is a place to soak in the tub after a full day of exploring.

It was time to visit Yarmouth again. When we find a B&B that we appreciate and enjoy visiting, we plan to return. And so it was with Lavender Sky. We had a late start in the day and didn’t get on the road until late afternoon. We kept in touch during our drive by texting the phone number provided on the website. If we are running late, we always contact the B&B host because it helps them with planning and preparation for our arrival. Do note though, the number is for a landline phone, therefor your texts will be sent to the answering machine. Not to worry, Lavender Sky did receive our texts. After being warmly greeted at the door, we climbed the beautiful staircase to the Crystal room. New additions were pointed out to us in the hallway, coffee and tea, snacks, and tassimo/keurig machine. And in the room, fresh fruit, chips, snacks, and serving tray with glasses, an ice bucket and bottles of water. I’m not going to go into detail about the room itself, that review can be found in my last submission. After dropping off our luggage, we returned to the living room. We felt very comfortable and enjoyed amazing hospitality with tea, coffee and great conversation. I missed playing with Bella the cat, but all the cats now have their own cottage, if you are allergic to cats, not to worry, you won’t see any in the B&B. The breakfast that greeted us was amazing. A hefty, fluffy omelet with potatoes and strips of bacon as long as my arm (just kidding). Breakfast felt like a three course meal, fresh fruit, followed by a large serving of yogurt and then a hot meal. You’re not leaving the breakfast table hungry.
B&B’s have been our choice of accommodation for over 10 years. We’ve had a variety of experiences. Lavender Sky is one of those Bed and Breakfasts that is passionate about their intentions: to provide a very comfortable, pleasant experience with warm hospitality. We see the effort in the attention to details and to the daily operation of the B&B. I know it’s a cliche to say “you get what you pay for”, in this case, staying at Lavender Sky was worth every penny.
