Room was clean, great view of the river and the low lands. Friendly service. Very basic motel room. Suited it purpose for me - just a place to crash to get some quiet time. Restaurants nearby in Truro.

The Tidal Bore Inn was a nice, clean, no-nonsense place to stay. The rates were the reason we chose it. Not much in terms of amenities so it's very basic but if you're looking for a clean, cheap place to stay, this is it. View was awesome overlooking the river. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Beds were comfortable and...

Stayed here two separate nights. A basic motel type of room, it was clean, and comfortable. No air conditioning so might be uncomfortable in the summer, but not an issue when we were there. Owners offered cleaning rags to clean our car, a feature I have not seen before. It could use a little refreshing, but the location to the...

Inexpensive but in need of upgrading. Certainly didn't live up to its advertising. Warning posted in the bathroom about hot water use and limited amount available. Manager asked if we needed shampoo when checking in as it wasn't provided in the room! Television was almost ancient but the reception was ok as was wifi. Bed was ok and highway noise...

We stayed one night with our dog. The room was clean and odour-free, but the building is shabby and in great need of a face lift. The shower tiles were loose and the grout appeared moldy. The bed was too hard for our taste.

we recently stayed at the tidal bore because the price was so good but the price wasnt worth it. we only had enough hot water for one shower at night. my wifee has pot holders thicker then the pillows and the road noise was loud so you had to close the windows and use the fan they supply. i originally...

My wife and I stayed here in early September 2016 and regret cheaping out. We could have stayed at a much nicer place for twenty bucks more. This is at best a fifty dollar motel, we payed seventy-four plus tax. It was a humid September day and without A/C or any chance of a breeze we were quite uncomfortable. The...

While the hotel and rooms aren't at the top end of the scale, for the price I found them to be fine. It helps that the people that are taking care of the place are very friendly. I had a chat with them about where I lived and what they do during the winter. The room was fine, though a...

We stayed one night at the Tidal Bore Inn. We were in room 2, which had 2 double beds, a fridge, microwave, and a floor fan, as there was no A/C. The staff was cleaning the room when we arrived, and they switched the fan with another, to be sure it was working properly. When we told them we were...

Had reserved on booking.com as per the rules stated clearly (and confirmed with booking in writing) that children stay free in existing beds - yet upon arrival they insisted that two children (1 adult parent) was too much for their basic room. I have searched many times based on only adults and then looking for rooms in which kids stay...
