Located outside of town in a residential area, the Suncatcher is a comfortable and welcoming spot to stay in. The room we had was nicely furnished, and had its own bathroom; this area could be closed off from the rest of the house. Ruth, the owner, gathered us and two others staying in the B&B for after dinner goodies and...

Thank you for your kind remembrance of your stay here at Suncatcher B&B this past August. It is always great to know that my B&B is a "first" stay at this sector of the accommodation industry & that it was an enjoyable experience. Re the stairs/luggage: most B&Bs are older homes & the stairs can be an issue. My B&B...

Thank you Ruth for making our stay so comfortable. The gingerbread and tea after we arrived was so welcoming. Breakfast was delicious, conversation was great and thank you for letting us spend time with your beautiful dog. My sisters and I enjoyed our stay 🍁🦃🍎🍊

Thanks so much for your kind review of your recent stay here at Suncatcher B&B. You were certainly lucky to be travelling before the terrible wind/rain storm hit Nova Scotia the next day. Keltie sends his "thanks" for your appreciation of him. I am quite proud of that gingerbread which I always serve in the Autumn.

While travelling Nova Scotia and Prince Edwards Island we stayed in numerous B & B. Although all of them were really nice we had to wait until the last night before flying home to find our favorite B & B and its friendly owner about an hour away from the Halifax airport. The "Suncatcher" is located some 5 miles outside...

I am very appreciative of your complimentary review of your recent stay here at Suncatcher B&B. I am glad that you have such good memories about your trip throughout the Maritime provinces. It is always fun to share the evening tea/coffee/dessert time with my B&B guests &, hopefully, give them an understanding of "our" part of the world!

I recommend anyone passing through the area to try and stay at this wonderful BnB. The host, Ruth, is an absolute delight, so incredibly knowledgeable, and an even better chef...her breakfast was amazing! Our one night stay at Suncatcher was the very best accommodation from our 10 days roadtrip around the Eastern provinces. Thank you!!

Oh my! Your review is high praise indeed & gratefully accepted! I try to use as many local products as possible when planning my breakfasts; much easier in the Summer! I enjoyed our conversation, especially about the "Dr. Blake Mysteries". The puzzle to his first name was solved on the most recent episode & I laughed as I recalled our...

We had a great time. Innkeeper is.very knowledgable of the entire province. She even provided dessert in the evening. The room was clean and neat. It is a little hard to find, but worth the effort. Would definately return if we are in the area

Set in a quiet street with nice gardens Suncatcher B+B makes a great place to stop. We were there just one night as we were working. Ruth, the owner is friendly and gives a wonderful welcome and service. The house is spotless and the rooms great with private bathrooms, TV and free wifi. We arrived at 9pm and were welcomed...

I shall have to widen the doorways throughout Suncatcher B&B so Keltie can walk around with his swelled head from all the praise he has been receiving from my guests! Glad to know that you enjoyed learning about our small, but historic, province & where we fit into the Canadian story.

We stayed one night and loved it. From the moment we entered we felt comfortable. After settling in our room Ruth had many menus for local restaurants and provided us with directions. She had dessert and coffee for us after dinner and we had a great conversation with the other guests and our wonderful host. Breakfast was a great and...

We chose Truro as a home base to travel around the Bay of Fundy for 2 days. Suncatcher B+B turned out to be the perfect place! Ruth, the proprietor, is absolutely lovely! The rooms are very comfortable, and breakfast was yummy. Ruth is a wealth of information, giving great suggestions for things to do and places to visit. Ruth also...

Our stay with Ruth and Keltie was an experience on its own. Ruth was so warm, her home so impeccably clean and beautiful and gave us our most peaceful sleep from the hustle and bustle of city life. Thank you so much for your detailed review of your stay here at Suncatcher B&B. I am always pleased to know that my B&B guests have an eye for a "well set" table! As you learned, I have a weakness for dishes & table linens & enjoy all the colours involved. Keltie is indeed charming & loves being a B&B...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Welcome to Suncatcher B&B, located in a suburban area of Truro but only five minutes drive from the downtown core. Suncatcher B&B is a four-level split house built in the early 1970s. The B&B rooms are the entire upper level which allows for two large airy rooms each with a spacious four-piece ensuite. After a day of traveling and sight-seeing, my B&B guests are invited to gather in the living room for tea/coffee and home-made dessert. This is an enjoyable part of the B&B experience for me as your Host as I enjoy helping with any trip plans and recommendations. ... more   less
