My mother and I stayed here in July 2015. It is close to ferry and after the long crossing from Newfoundland we were happy to arrive! I thought the room was super comfortable and did not notice any noise as in other reviews. I loved the bathroom must have recently been renovated! Heather was wonderful to talk to and we...

Thank you for your input and I am so happy you had a good stay with your Mom. To be clear to future guests, there are some rooms that have more traffic noise than others but a situation I can not control. If I can place guests in other rooms I try to do so but the rooms closest to...

We enjoyed meeting Heather and chatting about Cambridge Ontario and area. Heather gave us some great information about what there was to see in the area, and breakfast was delicious - homemade jams! The bed was comfortable, and we had our own bathroom in the room. The room was nicely decorated with antiques and was spacious and very clean.

Thank you for your visit and I know other guests will appreciate your tip. This is one of the great things about on line communications but it also has drawbacks as I do not get to chat prior to meeting guests and getting a better idea of their needs. I hope we met yours.

This place had a sort of boarding house feel: tiny towels, fake wood floors, meh decor, and the ferry blares its horn as it departs at 11 p.m. Wifi was out the first day but worked fine the second. However, everything was clean, the bed very comfy, breakfast simple but well prepared. Heather is talkative, friendly, and full of great...

The ferry is of course part of this being a harbor town, which is one of the reasons a lot of our guests stay here as well as the fact that North Sydney is sort of in the hub of Cape Breton attractions. I am pleased we met the more important criteria which is cleanliness, welcoming attitude, and a meal...

The location is close to the ferry. I did not find this B and B to be as cozy and friendly as most. There is a lot of traffic noise. No choice of breakfast food although breakfast tasted OK. Room was clean and bed was adequate. Wifi worked.

I guess I must have been having an off day because most of the time it is hard to contain my social tendencies. Come on back and we will have a nice chat.

We stayed here the night prior to boarding the ferry to Newfoundland and then again on our return trip. The inn is 2 minutes from the ferry terminal. This is an older 2 story, double house with several rooms. There are rooms on both floors. We stayed in 2 different rooms, both were similar in size and furnishings. There is...

I really like it when I have visitors who stay with me in both directions. It is like friends coming back and I continue to learn from your travels. Perhaps the future will allow you to tell me more about visits to other places. Thanks again

Wonderful B&B servicing those taking the ferry to Newfoundland. A very nicely remodel of a duplex into a single B&B. The rooms were quaint, well furnished with a comfortable bed and very surprising a very quiet window A/C unit. That alone is generally unheard of. Bathroom was a nice size and very clean. Parking was a little tight, but manageable....

I agree with you regarding the town sites to see. The Sydney home tour is great and they even do a candlelight tour in the summer. We do have some good places to eat but often not enough for the volume of visitors. If you have the chance share your views with the Cape Breton Regional Municipality and hopefully they...

This affordable B&B is located in North Sydney, a 15-20 minute drive from Sydney. It's right across the street from the ferry to Newfoundland. From the moment I arrived, I was made to feel welcome by Heather, the wonderful proprietor and creator of delicious breakfasts! My room was clean and pleasant, and well equipped with a comfy bed, private bathroom,...

Stayed here one night before our ferry to Newfoundland. Heather was a great hostess and showed us around and the room was perfect with two beds for two ladies. The price was right and great location over the harbour. Had a problem with the Wi-fi but Heather came right over and it was fine after that. Looking forward to breakfast...

Thanks for the input. My sons laughed at me and my TV Box challenges. I have come a long way since then but they still baffle me at times. Hope travels continue to be delightful.

We stayed here the night before leaving for the Newfoundland ferry. In the morning it only is a couple of minutes to the check in to the ferry and you can walk from the Inn to the ferry terminal for information. Oh those stairs. The bane of my existence. For what it is worth a least I don't put on too many extra pounds as I maintain the rooms from day to day. It was fun having you and I expect the balance of your travels went well. All the best.

We spent the night At The Harbourfront B&B for one night before heading onto the Cabot Trail.
