First time coming here as we waited in anticipation for it to open up in July 2022.
The good:
A well built, brand new RV park with 30 & 50 amp service that is right on the edge of the Parksville walkway and beach. The walkway is a beautiful hike and being downtown you have easy access to anything you want,
Rumor is that they are putting in a Restaurant with patio and pool over the winter months. this will be amazing. there is good, free wifi.
The bad:
The sites have a parking strip for your motorhome then 8' of grass, since most units have slides when they are open there is only about 6' between your door and the back of the unit beside you. They are incredibly close together, closer than any sites that I have ever been in. If you are in any of the sites back from the water and it is fully booked you have absolutely no view at all.
The ugly:
There is a minimum of 2-3 nights stay depending on when you come and at $100 - $115 per night it is by far the most expensive place in town, You are paying for a brand new place but factor in the size of the sites it is very expensive.
The water pressure is very high, and reading the back of the map with information it is mentioned, but if you do not put on your pressure reducer things will burst, I know it did in my trailer, causing a huge mess and a trip to the hardware store for stuff to fix it.
Tips:
Stay in the following sites
#28 This is the closest to the ocean on a corner with no one block your view
#48 & 59 & #68 & #77 These have electrical transformers on them but because of this they are much larger sites on corners
Many of the sites are 50amp so make sure you have a 30/50 adapter.
Overall a well built but poorly planned RV Park, they should have made the sites bigger.

Dear KurtSensei, We appreciate your stay with us and would like to thank you for taking your time sharing your experience with the rest of trip advisor viewers. Yes , it is in our future plan to build more amenities such as pool and the restaurant at our RV resort. Exact time line has not been confirmed yet. Our sites are 10' wide and can hold up to 14' width clearance. Since it's built with extra length, it may look narrower. The site numbers mentioned above come in with extra grass space as they're on corners and we appreciate you sharing this information. If you need any further assistance booking with us, please feel free to contact our front desk between 8am to 8pm and we'd be happy to assist with your booking. Look forward to host your RV at Pacific Palms near future. Guest Services

We live on the Island and have stayed in Parksville numerous times in various places. We found Pacific Palms to be very clean and well kept, which was not the case in a previous stay at a neighbouring facility. I found the owners to be very friendly and although we didn't require any further assistance with anything, they made sure to let us know we should let them know if we did. We were in a smaller motorhome so none of the slide-out space issues others have mentioned. The spaces are very close together, but we had an amazing ocean view and the close access to the beach and park were our reason for being there, so plot size wasn't an issue for us. It's within walking distance of the main town, so an easy 5-15 minute jaunt for provisions. The only negative I'd say is the lack of any trees, which we anticipated from the photos on their site. There appeared to be a few smaller ones that look like they were more recently planted, so hopefully in a few years they might offer some bits of shade and greenery. We'd stay here again.

The water view was nice but the spaces are very, very small. There is no shade for most sites. They do not have a recycling area. It is close to the community park and the sand castle display. It is very expensive in comparison with other campgrounds. Not worth the price

It's not often we write a critical review; however this would be an exception to help balance perspectives. Reading the reviews and website gave us a good expectation to justify the $110 / night plus lock-in fee.  We stayed in a Platinum Back in. Please note, our critique in no way reflects of the hosts and staff as they were wonderful.  Well, first the good. Â
Location is right adjacent to the public beach. A short walk through the fenced gates and food truck court to the beach.  The hosts were great in responding to inquiries as well check in and accommodating when we asked to move sites as the neighbouring site and set was far too jammed for the 8 ft space. The park facilities appear new; however we do not use the bathrooms, laundry, etc. The entire campground is chain link fenced with gates to the park and beach locked at 10pm.Â
The bad.  The campsites are way too tight to enjoy.  Sewers are mid site directly at the door / sitting area.....  If you have large slides or awnings, they are a challenge for adjoining lots.  Our neighbour was far too crowded (photo) with people coming and going and parking where ever. Thankfully, Brian was able to find us another site. (so much for a site lock-in fee.... The park consists of dead grass and almost no trees. The tree that was found is dead.  Debris on the ground.  Advertised as nothing older than 10 yr old RVs allowed, however, that appears overlooked. All of that could be overcome with a great site and view, which was our greatest disappointment.  Sold on at least a glimpse of the ocean for the price, all we could see were the back ends of the mix of old and somewhat newer A and C Class RVs, the neighbours' sewer pipe and hook up, and a couple food truck set ups and public tables for eating.  That is all with a half empty park....
Our Platinum back in site actually backed onto the neighbouring campground (Park Sands RV and Beach Resort.  We couldn't help but envy the lush campground, generous sites and ideal location, same public beach access, all for similar or lower price. You get what you pay for more often than not, in this case we didn't. We would not return.

This park is well laid out and provides easy access to the sites for parking. There are washrooms and laundry facilities as well. Ther park is kept very clean with several garbage cans through out. However the sites are very small. We have a Class A with three slides. Out neighbour was unable to extend his awning fully because it would have touched our coach. There is little area for chairs in most of the sites. If you pay for the front or water side sites you may have more room. The park is locked up from 11P:m until about 7:30 am. As this park is located on the board walk right next to the ocean this can be bothersome if you want to go for any early morning stroll. When we checked in we were asked if we had been to Parksville before. We said yes we were here 3 weeks ago in the park next door, the person checking us in had nothing but bad things to say about that park ( Park Sands RV resort) as well as the other park that was not far away ( Paradised Rv resort). This did not sit well with us as there is more than enough buisness to go around. Will not ever be going back!

Absolutely phenomenal holiday after decades of rving next door and up the road, we watched this place being built. Booked our annual trip here for the first time this year for our post labour day holiday and right from check-in they wowwed us! I'm sure once stage 4 water restrictions are lifted, the trees and grass will grow and it will be green and beautiful. The WiFi is fantastic, the view is gorgeous and the welcoming staff in the office was outstanding! So refreshing to be able give a nice review to this newer RV campground and see that it is operated 110% better than others in the area. We definitely will return. Thank you!

We were booked at Paradise Fun Park but we could not fit. I phoned the Pacific Palms and she got us a site quickly. The manager was awesome and totally accommodating after our horrid experience with Paradise. The site we stayed in was clean and enough room for our large 38 foot motorhome. It was quick access to the beach . The pool table and ping pool table was very entertaining for grand kids.

The campground is new and luxurious. The facilities are very clean and the owners are amazing. The location at the beach was breathtaking and we got a free upgrade to a beachside lot.
Only downside was the missing opportunity to do our dishes as our camper did not have a sink.
