Nice room and amenities and friendly reception staff. No hairdryer but no problem in borrowing one from reception. We like motels because after a long drive it is nice to relax outside the room in the sun, so it was a big disappointment to find...More
The room was impeccably clean, quiet, roomy and reasonably priced. All the things we look for when traveling. The Motel is deceiving, from the outside it appears like an older Alpine styled motel, but our room had been completely refurbished and nicely decorated.
Booked a room for a spontaneous trip to Nelson to see the Fall colors. We really liked the cute, alpine look of the the Alpine Inn & Suites. Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet. We got a great price for a wonderful room in...More
Alpine Inn in Nelson BC was a perfect stop for us. Friendly and helpful staff, clean room and very comfortable. We only stayed one night, but we will be staying at the Alpine again on our next visit to Nelson.

Don't worry about asking for an updated room as suggested in one of the latest reviews. All rooms are updated to the same extend (June 2016) besides carpets and kitchens. Go to "rooms and rates" on our website and click on the individual room-types. It will show you some photos of that particular room-type.
The walk to Baker street is very doable in summer as well as in most winter days. After some fresh snow you might want to consider driving into town or take a cab but I would say that one can walk at least 9 out of 10 times in the winter.
