We had a miscommunication on our booking. It happens, no big deal. What caused my one star rating was the way in which management dealt with the misunderstanding. The manager approached me and dressed me down as if I was a child. The front desk staff member seemed more interested in escalating the situation than listening to understand. I had to work really hard for the opportunity to speak. Customer service can be a differentiator, particularly if businesses know how to deal with situations when they don't go as planned. Try stating the problem and then just listening. Always ask questions over making accusations and give the benefit of the doubt. It can make the difference between a 5 start review and 1 star. On a positive note, Atelyn, the other front desk clerk was delightful! Janine and the Rocky River Grill was excellent (and the food was delish!).…
My son and I recently stayed in invermere on our bike ride. The hotel was beautiful but the staff was exceptionally good. I recommend this place 😎 The room was super comfortable, the amenities were above average, the spa very relaxing, and the breakfast bar was top notch.
First time in this section of Canada after a LONG travel day from Mississippi! Good way to begin our Canadian vacation. Nice clean room, wonderful adjoining restaurant, and great staff (especially Sam and Andrea)! We say thank you, O Canada!!!
PROS ; Midrange pricing Available kitchenettes Free laundry on main floor Free breakfast ..it's Help-Yourself style but okay Also a nice bog TV to catch up on local news at breakfast. Access to hot-tub There's an attached restaurant that has a decent menue and the quality is quite good. CONS; Kitchenette was very poirly equiped. (Dollar-Store everything) Asked for a NEW fry-pan and they brought us an even worse one! Stained carpets and dust covered surfeces. The AC unit in our kitchenette only worked around 20% of the time. We also noticed ants around the carpets. Laundry is limited to 1 washer & 1 dryer The hot-tub is kept scoarching HOT! (like 108°C) The kitchenette hotplate only supports the magnetic style cookware , so if you do bring your own fry-pan it probably won't work. The evening / night staff seem to be a couple of young guys that really don't care much about customer service or even being available for that matter! The main saving grace for this place is that it's Bang for the Buck value is actually decent. 😒…
We went to the Kanata restaurant for breakfast. We were greeted warmly and immediately seated. The menus and a coffee followed right afterwards The food was great and came out hot and perfectly done. Service was very good. Try the Benny’s . Delicious!
I wouldnt even bother stopping here on a long weekend got told there was a minimum of a 3 night stay it was midnight ended up having to drive home to Cranbrook with my 3 year old daughter and tired because there was a minimum of 3 night stay and got told I could talk to management but when I said sure he said I had to wait till morning to talk him this was the only hotel available so I wouldn’t waist your time or money on this hotel it says it’s kid friendly obviously not when my family can’t even stay one night because I’m tired and can’t drive anymore
This is the second time I have stayed at the Kanata in Invermere. The rooms are immaculate, amenities plentiful, towels and bedding white soft and inviting! The front desk staff go above & beyond and make you feel like your at home not at a hotel. The General Manager is welcoming and knowledgeable about what to do around the area. Can't wait to come back in September Thank you 😊
The room itself was very clean. The kitchen was not as well stocked as it should have been though. There were only 2 knives, 3 forks, and 4 spoons. A very small pot and a small frying pan. I had hoped for even a medium sized pot so I could cook for my family, but there were none at the front desk either. The front desk host in the morning at breakfast was something else. She had better things to do than keep breakfast stocked for the last hour, that's for sure. 3 different tables, including my own, had to ask for coffee, creamers, milk, and other food items. We were all met with eye rolling and annoyance. It wasn't the last 10 minutes of breakfast either, there was still an hour to go. We went out for breakfast the following morning.
Upon arrival at 3pm, we were informed that check in was at 4pm - completely understandable so we left and came back at proper check in time. The older front desk lady that told us this however, was very rude and dismissive. When we entered our room, you could tell it was not cleaned at all after previous people. The headboard had hand and toe prints on it, which was extremely disturbing. The bathroom mirror was dirty from previous people brushing their teeth and splashing water. The bathroom faucet was dirty as well. The next front desk lady (after shift change) was very nice and cleaned it all for us. I feel like we should have been given another room because ours was not sanitized or cleaned at all. Especially with COVID, that is so unsanitary and unsafe. Overall terrible and gross experience.…
This is one of the best hotels we checked-in to. The receptionist was nice even though they were obviously busy. The hotel was clean and our room was super clean and really nice too. The price was so worth it. They have a small hot tub in the main floor and the breakfast was good and there were choices on what to eat. Our room was super spacious. We booked a 3 queen size bed room and it was super comfy. The bed was comfortable and everything was just clean and neat. We will surely stay here again if we even go to the area in the future.
