Stayed at this location last weekend for a friends wedding. Owners on site were extremely helpful and welcoming making the weekend stay a great one that we will remember for a long time and now trying to find the time to return. Awesome location with great mountain and river valley views. A+ all around

My now husband and I were looking for a venue that had mountain and water vistas with a rustic elegance. Coming from Ontario, I also had my heart set on a barn reception, not an easy order to fill! We met Mark and Stefanie, the owners last year and were fortunate enough to be able to book our wedding at...

Just returned from a wedding at this lodge. Overall, very nice experience. Stayed in the Moose cabin which came very well equipped, compared to the other lodgings where family was staying. It was one of two cabins that had a realistic kitchen facility. (Others only had a small fridge, or a cooktop- no two cabins are equipped the same) The...

Our hosts could not have been more friendly and helpful! They went above and beyond to make our short stay perfect! Our guests from Germany loved the location as did we! I would like to see this beautiful spot in the winter too. Breakfast was wonderfull! Next time I will ask for extra pillows before we bed down for the...

I love the rustic style of the lodges, (esp. the wood stove), the jacuzzi area is excellent, and the owners are very kind, approachable people. One potential drawback would be the distance from Golden as far as convenience goes, but I like it that way. I forgot my favourite ceramic chef knife in Porcupine lodge; I'll have to visit again!

We looked around for a while for a place to stay as we wanted something we could call our own, off the beaten path, cozy, and allowed pets, We found this at Hillside Lodge, the owners where good to deal with when we needed as for the most part we just keep to our selves enjoying the great outdoors. The...

This was our second visit to Hillside Lodge and Chalets and we absolutely loved it. The cabins are very quaint, and have everything you need for a weekend away. The owners were happy to help make your stay as enjoyable as possible with movies to rent in the main lodge and snowshoes to borrow for wandering through the snowy trees....

As we drove up, we were a little "underwhelmed", but coming around the corner and in among the cabins, the place cast its spell. By the time we got up to the lodge, we were already saying we thought maybe we'd found our new favourite mountain escape. The lodge was just beautiful, impeccably kept, our room overlooked the river valley....

We had spent 2 nights here for a family wedding. It was a beautiful location, beautiful rooms. The lodge was so welcoming and comfortable, it felt like home. the cabins were perfectly spacious and great for the kids (ages 2 and 3). The family running the lodge were very friendly and accommodating. We will defiantly be back!

We booked @ night, last minute, about 15 minutes from the location with the husband. Upon entering the tiny room, the bed was all messed up (we thought perhaps that it was a very quick turndown but thought it was a little odd bc it was very "slept in" looking) As we went back to the car to get our...
