Window cranks still broken, rusted out BBQ (but did replace grill when complained) no wifi indoors, told the logs were to thick. Broken crappy blinds on front door (when raised they fall apart) It was clean, but very dusty. The units are a little crammed on the land so our view was the other cabins with some mountains in the...

The facility was dirty. Mattresses should have been retired years ago. Window cranks broken. Entire place had very minimal housekeeping; dust everywhere and pieces of chinking on upper window sills along with the summers casualty of dead flies! No handle for fridge. Filthy oven and barbecue. Yuk, Yuk never again. All we wanted was a secluded cozy weekend getaway for...

I stayed at Kicking Horse River Chalets in December 2014 with a group of friends. The chalets are very charming and well equipped. It felt like we were in a movie. The chalets are just a twenty minute ride away from Golden, where you will find supermarkets and a gas station. The Kicking Horse Mountain a Resort is nearby as...

We stayed at the cabins from July 1 to 5. We arrived at 2pm and were told to come back at 4pm the cabin was not cleaned yet. We came back at 4pm and still not clean. I started to haul stuff from the parking lot to the cabin anyway. They do provide a wagon to put things in. I...

We went skiing at Kicking Horse Mountain and booked a one of the chalets for our stay near Golden. While the chalets are still a bit of a drive (30 - 40 minutes) from Golden or the ski hill they were a great value. There was sleeping enough for 6 with a double and 2 singles in the loft and...

Our family stayed four nights at the kicking horse river chalets and had a great time! These chalets are a little off the path so you can really enjoy the area. The chalet was bigger than we expected and had all the basic necessities. Jack met us in the parking area and showed us around, gave us the "bear test",...

We recently spent two wonderful nights at the fantastic Kicking Horse River Chalets just east of Golden, BC, and minutes from Yoho National Park. Beautiful log chalets in a wonderful setting close to the Kicking Horse River. We live in Canmore, AB, but had family from Florida with us. My daughter said it was "heaven on Earth". I think that...

Six of us stayed in one of the chalets for two nights for $199 with a Living Social deal. The setting is absolutely gorgeous and the chalets themselves are reasonably clean and well-equipped. It is a little difficult to find coming off the highway as there are no signs (you have to follow the "Chancellor Peak Chalets" signs...more on that...

Dear Lindsay 71 Thank you for your review of Kicking Horse River Chalets. I would like to clear up a few inconsistencies in your review however. KHRC is what is known as a strata property very much like what you find in many resort communities, especially Whistler. Each chalet is individually owned by an investor. Management companies represent the owners;...

What a find! As a family of five travelling through the Rockies our chalet was a fantastic base for trips into Yoho park. Even better was the tremendous help given by Wade, the manager. He didn't intrude, but was ready to help, evem when some Canadian cousins appeared at his door looking for us long after we had gone to...
