We travel a considerable amount in the States and stay in Bed and Breakfast Inns a lot of the time. The amenities, our room, the sheet and towel quality rank up with the best we have stayed in. Do not pass up a chance to stay here! Elysa and Rene were warm and gracious hosts despite our limited ability to... More

This is a beautifully maintained B&B on a quiet street within very easy walking distance of the heart of Magog. The bedrooms are decorated with detail and taste. The breakfast was quite elegant. The owners are charming, warm people and very helpful. And they had no problem with those of us whose French is useless. A perfect stay!

I stayed one night at this B and B. The owners are very cordial and polite. The room is very clean and the furnishings are adequate. The location is good and the grounds are well kept. There is no TV in the room which is not important to me but might matter to someone else. This is not an upscale B... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely B&B. Elysa and Rene were wonderful hosts and served a memorable breakfast. The primary shopping street in Magog and a nice waterfront park are only a few blocks away. The restaurants are very good. Our room was very clean.

We booked 2 rooms a couple of days before arrival and had to cancel one of the rooms 5 hours after booking. Monique insisted she could have sold the room, even though it was not rebooked that evening, or the next day or evening. Our room smelled musty and Monique's attitude really put a damper on the beginning of our... More

We had a great evening at L'Ancestrale over the Thanksgiving weekend! The room and house were gorgeous - each detail tended too (beautiful room decor and antiques; fragrant local shampoo and body wash; welcoming guest living room with roaring fire and board games!; 2nd floor terrace with wine glasses). We had a quiet, peaceful sleep after a long day of... More
