We got a jacuzzi suite for one night they said it was booked a second night and we had forgotten the keyboard to my laptop in the room I noticed twenty minutes after I left. They said nobody had been in the room yet but would let me know as soon as someone was in there. The whole day came and went I called the next day they said they would return my call but never did then the following day I finally drove back and asked about it in person they said nobody had been in that room since including the cleaners. I asked how that was possible when they told me I could only have it for one night because it was booked the next. I could not get a straight answer. The absolute worst part of all this was that I called within twenty minutes after leaving I had not even made it to Kingston all they had to do was walk to the room and grab it. So someone stole it, it was never returned. The front desk people which I believe to be the owners could not care less no matter how many times I called and I unnecessarily lost $145 electronics. Hi, We are greatly sorry that you lost your laptop. It looks like due to a cancellation, we did not get to cleaning your room as soon as we thought we would. Unfortunately we are not always able to know in time what rooms we will need, and so we treat all reservations as booked rooms just in case. We would never want a guest to not be able to get a room they had booked. While we do always look for items that are left behind (and are able to find the majority of them), sometimes they are not lost on our property. We do hope you have since found your keyboard.

Not the cleanest. Cobwebs in upper corner and dusty on top of lights. Men are cleaning these rooms; not women. Bathtub bottom needs cleaning. Also experienced the full time inhabitants hanging around outside drinking beer in their sock feet glaring at us because we took one of the parking spots for their multiple pick up trucks. The family that runs this are very nice and accommodating. Microwave, internet, fridge and TV all worked. Air conditioning was noisy but it worked. Bed did not smell bad and was comfortable enough. You get what you pay for and if you can suck it up you can stay here relatively cheaply for a few nights. It worked for us for two nights as it is close to everything. I am fussier than my husband so next time we will stay at the Comfort Inn although it is more expensive. The pictures of the hotel rooms look better than the actual room we stayed in.

Check in was easy. Staff friendly and helpful. I always do a sweep of the room before I bring my dog in (for dropped pills, food etc.) and found some old popcorn in the corners under the bed. Otherwise room was clean, and the bathroom was spotless. Fridge didn't seem cold despite being on coldest setting so I kept food in my cooler overnight. I expected some noise due to proximity to street and outside entrance, but the "window" AC also had a heat blower which provided not only warmth but white noise. Bed was comfy and I slept extremely well, as did my dog (bed was covered with sheet from home). Grassy walk for dogs (please pick up after them!) No garbage cans in sight, but found a dumpster around back. Overall satisfied and would stay there again in the off season. I expect the motel would be packed and noisy during the summer.

This hotel/motel is a great option at this price point. It’s not luxurious but it has been updated and, with the exception of the bathtub which was pretty stained, the room was quite clean. The room was reasonably well appointed with a mini fridge and microwave, a hair dryer and soap, shampoo, conditioner.
Some things that could make this place even better: in-room coffee, newer towels (the current ones are rough and no longer bright white), more selection for breakfast (even though it’s a continental breakfast, there were only bananas and packaged muffins), replace the bathtub if the stains can’t be removed (the condition of the tub is rather off putting).

Check in was good. We arrived a little early and they let us into the rooms so we could change and enjoy the pool as it was really hot outside. Bed was comfortable and pillows were good. There was a fridge and microwave in the room.
The room had a smell of old cigarettes, but that could be from the old/loud air conditioner. Perhaps changing the filters or cleaning it might help. However, when we had a shower we could smell cigarettes again in the wet shower curtain (we were in a non smoking room).
The room needs some maintenance/updating. The hairdryer was on the counter as it appeared to have been pulled off of the wall (there was a patch of paint missing where it was). The bathroom door had several bubbled marks all over it (no fan was in the bathroom). The toilet was installed crooked and the seat was loose and moved.
The pool was as previously quests have stated - in need of a good scrubbing. You can visibly see the grime on the inside and the water was cloudy. Not sure that I would stay here again.

All websites for this hotel show coffee maker in room . No coffee maker in rooms . Need to update room amenities and photos . Also need to specify what breakfast is . It’s just granola bars and mini muffins in the lobby . I realize hotels were doing this during Covid but again website misleading . Also bathtub had no plug so could only shower . Website says $10 for pets I was charged $15 . I called hotel directly to book . I know ppl like to use trivago, Booking.com etc but if there’s an issue hotel will not refund or comp you because you booked through a third party . It was the day of big snowstorm but parking area and walkways to rooms not plowed or shovelled well . My elderly parents who both use walkers would have never been able to get around to the room or car . Glad they decided to cancel and not come. If you are disabled etc this place not for you . I paid $145 total . Not much choice in Ganaoque in winter as most motels closed for the season . Bathroom could have been cleaner and water in shower was not hot . Is temp turned down to save $$???

Well. I have heard never to stay at a Howard Johnsons and now I know why. Firstly. The check in time of 3 is silly. And when I asked maybe if we could come 30 min as driving for 3 or more hours can take a toll. So brazenly she got defensive and asked if still wanted to have the room. Ok I agreed. 1st Mistake.
So pay for the room, no issues with check-in. So go up to the room open the door, and it smelled like a musty closet. Heavy on the cleaners I found, but they could have opened a window to air it out. We ended up disinfentant everything ourselves to be on the safe side, and i mean everything, doors, handles, remotes, fridge etc.
Once we got settled, the bed was comfortable, so that was a plus, towels were rough to the skin, not fresh. Soap and shampoo were provided, we used 1 I think.
Room otherwise ok size, tv stations were bad, internet was kinda slow on my mobile trying to watch videos, couldn't get chromecast setup. (ended up leaving in the room, called the same day, asked to call following day cause they rerented room and housecleaning will need to check, still waiting for them to call me back)
Food options in the town are bad, cousins on king was the best of the open places, we enjoyed their pub style food. Mavericks burritos are to die for...most every place else that wasn't fast food chain was closed.
Ah Yes !! the pool. Well there were grass clippings in it. We don't think they had put chlorine recently (we felt odd after getting out) there was garbage left on the deck and chairs. And lastly, the joke of a breakfast, like a 2 bit brownie size muffin, banana, yogurt, and coffee or OJ. So, inshort, the room was ok. The pool was a joke, the breakfast was a joke and I wouldn't suggest unless you really need a place to stay here.

Thank you for your feedback. Whenever we can we allow early check ins. However, since we were sold out the day before your check in, we had to clean rooms in between guests checking out and new guests checking in. This is the reason for a check in time. We are also providing a pre-packaged breakfast right now as required by COVID regulations, but it is not pre-bagged so that everyone can take as much as they want :) We are glad to hear you enjoyed the room. We will pass on your feedback regarding the pool to management, and this will be addressed directly.

Front Desk Service was great. Based on our arrival time, when asked about recommendations for evening eateries in the area, They were also very informative. We ended up at a place called Mavericks and wow, we would definitely go there again! As for our room and overnight stay, the room was very clean, ample in size and amenities in room was a fridge and Roku only for TV use. The bathroom with shower was also very clean and provided soap bars with shampoo and conditioner. As for breakfast, it was offered as continental however not set up and reason for 4 vs 5 stars. To be fair, they did have yogurt, apples, bananas, granola bars and mini muffins with coffee, tea or juice but no cereal or toast etc or place to sit down where what you took to eat would be taken back to your room to eat.

This hotel is located close to hwy 401 and is easily walkable to the downtown, restaurants, and boat tours. They are renovating (??) so pool was closed, as was the breakfast room. Breakfast was yogurt, a granola chewy bar, a flakey, and juice box. Beds were really comfortable.

I have been coming here for years, every year we stay for at least 4 to 5 days in July. I am disappointed on how this hotel is run, they didn't change my beds or vacuum or even clean my room once. the cleaners don't even speak English. They gave me towels, Kleenex and toilet paper daily. biggest disappointment was breakfast, they used to provide a good breakfast literally banana yogurt and granola bar and muffin. I will not be coming back
To this hotel and I will not be recommending it to anyone. The lack of basic cleaning services and the poor quality of breakfast are unacceptable for the price paid and for a hotel claiming to be a reputable establishment. I hope the management takes the necessary steps to improve their services for the benefit of future guests.
