A comfortable, well-equipped motel with friendly, helpful staff and economical rates. Rooms perhaps on the small side for more than two people, especially given the small bathrooms. Continental breakfast not available due to COVID restrictions but rooms provide fridge, microwave and coffee-making supplies. Nice pool. In a convenient, although not scenic, location on the way into town.

Blamed no breakfast on site not being updated and was told by staff this was not the first occasion.

Ramada Riverview Hotel in Ottawa provide a Bag Breakfast - Muffin Apple and Yogurt to go.

They should have been as resourceful - or provided a McDonalds Certificate for the outlet across the road for a coffee and a muffin

Stayed here for one night-passing through on route to the East Coast. The room was clean and well priced. The woman at the front desk was outstanding! She was so friendly and saw we were coming from out of town so made sure she was there later to check us in! We left early in the morning so I can’t comment about location except that it’s very close to the 401 which makes it convenient when you’re stopping just to sleep!

We have stayed loyally with the Travelodge in Gananoque for years. The changes they have gone through this summer are not favorable. The gentlemen we are accustomed to seeing on the front desk were both away during our stay, and the ladies taking their place were not the most hospitable. The woman who checked us in was very loud and obnoxious and made us feel very unwelcomed. Rolled her eyes like we were inconveniencing her when we asked questions and inquired about obtaining an extra blanket.

They are building a starbucks next door, and the construction was very loud starting sharp at 7 am each morning we were there. When we mentioned it to the lady in the morning, she was apologetic, but did not offer any remedy to the issue - maybe moving rooms to another section of the hotel??

They still offer no option for breakfast and no welcome coffee in the lobby, citing covid restrictions, but other hotels we have stayed at are offering bagged breakfasts or full breakfasts at this point.

They are not offering housekeeping daily - or even at all during the stay. They expect the guest to call the desk and ask for any amenities required, from fresh towels to extra soap and shampoo. They again cited covid as the reasoning. This is the only hotel we have stayed at this summer that didn't at least offer daily room cleaning.

Check out was a bit of a mess, as we asked to split the payment on two cards and the lady was unsure how to do it properly. She was visibly flustered, but apologized and we ended up using just the one card.

When we checked out, we asked to speak to the manager, but were told he is rarely in the office. We left our number and asked that he contact us, but have yet to hear from him.

As usual, the room was great and comfortable, and I'm sure we will be back, but we may consider other options. This hotel is usually spot on with everything. Great service and has great potential, but I'm afraid they may be overlooking things like customer service quality!

Liz

This drive up Motel has the most stiff mattresses I've felt in a long time.

Aren't beds an important feature of a hotel, to get a good night's rest?

The room itself is basic, with a functional air conditioner, tv and fridge. The bathroom is an acceptable size with a full sized tub.

I would never stay here again, due to the beds. We both woke up feeling stiff the next morning.

Oh, don't bother eating at Cousins restaurant next door - it's very bland food, i.e. dry chicken. Both our meals could have been better made, at home. Also, why would a restaurant smother a chicken wrap with Frank's hot sauce. That's their version of Buffalo chicken? Also, they didn't even have hand sanitizer by their bathrooms, which is outrageous, considering the times we currently live in.

We came to Gananoque to cycle the parkway - this hotel is very close to it. We chose the queen suite with Jacuzzi. It's a 2 room suite with a fireplace and large whirlpool tub. The room had everything we needed including a fridge and microwave and 2 TV's. The coffee machine is a drip type and they supplied us ample coffee. The room was large and clean (could use a deep clean though), the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was updated. We could park right outside our door and it also has a patio door - for those who smoke. It was a great value for what we paid and we are thinking about returning very soon! Thanks for a great stay!

We loved our stay. We found the service to be excellent, réception staff and cleaning staff are excellent and friendly. The bottom rooms are excellent for those who wish to relax sitting outside right in front of their rooms before gong to be and you can park your véhicles right in front of the door of your room.

We were placed in a room that had a horrible musty smell, the carpet got soaked because of the rain...our room was leaking and the shower curtain was never washed ...terrible terrible smell. We advised the staff and we were told "we know" ! We were never offered an apology or a discount.

Cute little hotel. No complaints about hotel. Lacking in food varieties in the area. Swimming pool was great. Rooms were clean. Staff at desk were amazing. Breakfast was a grab and go, fruit, cereal bar, muffin and a drinking box. Price was fair. Would stay again

I called earlier in the day and spoke with Kevin who was very nice. Checked in with Tanya she was welcoming and helpful. And checked out with Lance who was very polite and asked how our stay was. Stayed in one of the jacuzzi rooms, very large! Everything looked relatively new, and was clean. The towels were folded nice and neatly. There was no breakfast due to COVID, but most places have done the same. No extra fee for parking which was nice. Would definitely stay again. It’s very quiet, no noise from traffic or neighbours.
