Nestled conveniently off the highway, the Ramada by Wyndham Gananoque Provincial Inn is a hit for its location, with easy access to local dining and suitability for brief visits. While the charm of the hotel is enhanced by its blend of vintage allure and modern touches, particularly in the renovated bathrooms, some guests feel the decor could use a refresh. The Inn's spacious, clean rooms are praised, though the absence of microwaves is noted. Although the service receives mixed feedback, the majority of guests agree the hotel presents a good value for money, despite the simple breakfast offerings.

We stay in Gananoque at least once a year for family visits. This hotel is on par for most in the area; older and generally classified as a motel not a hotel. We changed from our usual motel as it felt extremely run down and instead tried the Ramada this year for four nights, and were pleasantly surprised. This property is huge and very well kept. Large outdoor pool and basic continental breakfast were as expected. Gananoque is a small town, with a limited range of places to stay. However, in the eastern part of town, there is a Tim Hortons, Starbucks and McDonalds very close by, as well as grocery and various other retail stores etc.

I would say I had one small complaint with very dusty lamps, but otherwise clean. I was a bit baffled that in our huge room (that could easily sleep four people) there was only one small drawer for clothes and two hangers in a small hanging area. There was a huge desk that could easily have had more drawers but overall it was fine. Parking is right outside your door so no issues carrying luggage etc.

All staff we dealt with were very very friendly and helpful.

Knowing the area and keeping expectations down (as Gananoque isn’t an overly fancy area) I was very pleased with this hotel and will definitely return.

Rooms are decent enough for the price. It's clean, generally quiet and seems to cater mainly to bus tours visiting the Thousand Islands. Skip the breakfast. Even though it was free, variety was limited and the place was packed on both days we went by seniors who were apparently in awe of the technology involved in the self-serve waffle iron. McDs, Tim's and a number of other breakfast places are within easy walking distance

This roadside motel is very quiet and looks very nice from the outside with its little colorful deckchairs. However, the interior decoration is completely outdated and the carpet has a bad smell. The bathroom is very comfortable with its mirror that lights up when touched and its large bathtub. The pillows are perfectly closed but at least one blanket is missing on the beds in case of a cool night. The hotel offers an outdoor pool and breakfast. There are several restaurants and hypermarkets within walking distance.

Mediocre breakfast.... If you stay longer than 1 night, do not expect your bed to be freshened up for the following day. The person at the front counter explicitly confirmed cleaning staff would not make beds, unless the customer explicitly asked to, when checking in.... We were not given a list of what other things we were to ask for as not included....

We tried Ramada since the Holiday Inn across the street increased their room price to what we felt was way above reasonable. Holiday Inn lost our business, but it will be awhile until we will try Ramada again....

We wanted to try this hotel since we have been in Gananoque a few times, new experience for us since my wife liked the fact that they had chairs in front of the rooms so on a nice day we could enjoy the outside, unfortunately that's as good as it got.
The room wasn't very clean, it looked like the carpet hadn't been done in quite a while, the bed was very hard so unless you like that kind of thing (we don't) it doesn't help for your sleep. The breakfast was very simple, bread, muffins, bananas and for the kids at least they had a waffle machine. The time we were there (three nights) they only had one person at the front desk in the morning and he also had to replenish the breakfast so not too much service, he didn't have any time to clean tables that was up to the patrons of the hotel, us.

From year one of staying here to my most recent trip (July 2024), I am always happy with “all of the above”. The staff are so hospitable, understanding and helpful. The cabins are clean, comfortable and have been upgraded to match the change of times. I love the fact that there is a coin laundromat on-site to use between 08h00-20h00; it’s so nice to have a clean set of clothes when you’re travelling to and fro. There is so much extra ground around the cabins for playing, having picnics/bbq’s and so forth too. There’s a really nice pool for one to escape the heat in. I keep coming back here, year after year because I know that I will be well taken care of. Thank you!

Affordable and clean. Friendly staff. The hotel was quite busy when we stayed, and I noticed the staff regularly re-stocking the breakfast foods and cleaning the dining area in the morning. Parking is available right outside the rooms. Nice outdoor pool with outdoor furniture. A quick drive from and better rates than Kingston, where we were visiting. I would not hesitate to stay with my family again in the future.

We stay here 3 or 4 times a year. Owners have done very good job updating rooms and grounds a little bit each year. Service is excellent, very accommodating and always trying to meet our requests.
Great pool, comfortable beds, clean rooms, decent breakfast, friendly team of employees. We will be back.

We decided to have a mini road trip in Gananoque and Kingston for 2 days each. I found the price here to be the best. The beds were comfortable and we asked for extra pillows and they were quickly delivered. The shower was strong with many settings. The room was very clean and updated. The room is also very close to everything with a Starbucks and Tim Hortons across the road as well as many restaurants, a Canadian Tire and Shoppers Drug Mart a minute away.

The hotel is also near the 1000 Island Parkway which was convenient. The outdoor pool is extremely large with a shallow end and an over 8 feet deep end and was never busy. There were many chairs available and it would be great with kids.

The breakfast was nice with waffles, hard boiled eggs, toast, bagels , muffins, juice and coffee and is included in the price. The staff were also extremely friendly and helpful. We will return.

Very good value for money
The bedroom is spacious and has 2 large beds.
The lounge area is also large, there is a coffee maker with pods and a fridge.
The only downside is the carpet, which should be avoided if you are allergic, otherwise everything is impeccable (see the photos)
The rooms are on the ground floor
