Heard the music out on the street as we walked by and had to stop in for a drink. Great local crowd having fun and enjoying the music...which was awesome! Lovely woman behind the bar who was attentive to all.

Located in a historic hotel (over 100 years old) dinner is served early so make sure to arrive before 7pm on a terrace over looking the main road. The food was delicious and the service was great. Lots of interesting options to choose from. You won’t be disappointed.

Where to begin…this lovely Inn is literally in the middle of town! Great location for exploring local restaurants and shops. We booked the king suite not knowing it was actually a bedroom and a sitting room! It was huge! The staff was very friendly and helpful with suggesting local restaurants. We did not eat at the hotel restaurant as they were having some repairs done. We enjoyed starting and ending our days on the covered 2 story porch. Sublime! Also enjoyed eating at restaurants across the street, the Red Herring and Seasons by the Sea Bistro. Yummy seafood at both places. Also, this stop was in the middle of our 10 day trip so a laundry mat was necessary. There was one 1 block down the street from us. We did laundry and enjoyed lunch in a nearby pub! Also, we did a whale watching trip and our boat was right across the street. Summing up. The Kennedy Inn is a must stay while in St Andrews!

My husband and I stayed at The Kennedy Inn June of 2022 and what a unique experience it was. This inn was built in 1881 and is the oldest summer hotel in Canada. It is so quaint and so beautiful and immaculately clean. It has so much character. The staff were just awesome, so genuine and truly accommodating. Our special thanks to our new friend Moe Basque. And they have live entertainment every Saturday night and lively it was! The draft was so good and Josh Osborne was so greatly talented and so much fun with the audience. The bed and pillows were so comfy, neither one of us tossed and turned like we do at home. We hope to get back for another Saturday night’s fun there. After everything we have all been through the past couple of years, it was a welcome reprieve. Thanks to everyone at the Inn. Sheldon and Shelley MacLeod from Riverview, NB

We recently stayed at the Kennedy Inn for one night at the end of our 2 week East Coast Vacation. We arrived in the rain and upon check in learned that they had upgraded us to the King Room with a view - she had remembered when I phoned to book that I really wanted a King Bed but had booked a Queen since I also really wanted a water view. The room was beautiful, on the front of the building, overlooking main Street with a view of the waterfront. THe bed was comfy, the room was clean and we loved the access to the balcony which was open to everyone but we were the only ones using it. Our room also had a small kitchenette. The Inn has an elevator for ease with luggage but the staircase is beautiful to use. The Inn is convenient to downtown and the shops and to the wharf, whale watching, and many restaurants. Also only a few minutes drive to Ministers Island (Definately worth a visit). We had dinner at the Inn - it was raining heavily so just going downstairs to eat seemed like a good idea and it was. We ate in the front dining room - I had Lobster stuffed Mushrooms, my husband had the lasagna - we were both happy with our choices. Would highly recommend The Kennedy Inn if your travels take you to St. Andrews By the Sea.

The food was terrible. All of us had a meal that came with fries. The sandwich part was just ok, but our french fries were hard as a rock, we all ended up not eating them. I’ve been here twice, both times a bad experience. I won’t ever be returning.

Stopped in for lunch on a Tuesday. A lot of other businesses were not open on Monday and Tuesday but the Kennedy was well staffed. It was very hot. We took a table on the veranda and had a lovely waitress. All Covid protocols were followed, with extremely clean washrooms. Our waitress was very attentive. Kept our water glasses full and cold. We had a wrap with homemade fries and a delicious fresh salad with the most spectacular radish creamy dressing. I would love the recipe but suspect it is a secret! (I tried googling) Prices were very reasonable and the quality of the food was outstanding. Fresh and tasty! Thanks

We came down for a bite - awesome Club Sandwich and home cut fries. Sampled the seafood chowder too - best I’ve had in a long time. The Pump House craft brew was perfect as well. Do yourself a favour and pay a visit.

Visit this spot while in the town for a beer and some snack food. The patio overlooks the main street in town.... lots to watch. The onion rings and fries are excellent ....fresh and hot. Contrary to the previous review the service staff is excellent and very accommodating. Not sure if they are smiling because they are wearing masks as they should be. Will be going at least 2 more times this week.

We decided to have a one day trip to Saint Andrews. We stayed at this lovely hotel in Saint Andrews .At arrival we were greeted by a friendly front desk staff. She had noticed when I book my room I didn't book one with air conditioning , she made changes for us before we arrived to in sure us a comfortable stay.I found this very thoughtful and kind, since it turn out to be a very hot humid night and day.The hotel has a lot of character!Old but very charming and comfortable. Rooms are roomy and bed is nice and comfortable. Love the decor and charm of the furniture.Restaurant is located one the main floor and is reasonably priced , Food and Service was very enjoyable ! Server was a lovely lady who made us feel at home . Hotel and Service made us feel safe during this time with Covid 19 precautions .. Very clean and sanitization stations are located through out the hotel and restaurant area . Very Happy with our experience 😊
