This was a fantastic little gem. So close to the waterfront. We had great recommendations for dinner and fun shops. So glad we found you when we booked back in March. Definitely going to recommend to everyone. Thank you. We'll be back. Liz & Sallie 😀

Picket Fence has everything you could need for a stay. The room was so clean and the bathroom was spotless......and I am a fusspot when it comes to these things! 😉 The owners could not have been any more friendly or accommodating and so very helpful! Amazing people! Yes, its an older property but everything you could possibly need in a stay away is provided and provided with a smile! My only little suggestion would be updating the wifi coverage! It is perfectly fine for web browsing or checking emails though! Which is all you should be doing when staying in St Andrews anyway! Looking forward to seeing you next year!

Sue and her husband were very friendly and helpful hosts. Room was very clean, we had everything we needed. They even call Dustin right after we left to let us know we had forgotten some of our belongings. That's good thank you. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed two nights stay here. The host was lovely and provided us with tourist information and recommendations to good food. We were pleased with how clean and comfortable our stay was and the proximity to Water St. We would be happy to stay here again.

Don't let Google fool you with a "2-star motel." When you drive up, this little gem immediately brings happy vibes.😍Sue and her husband are very friendly, welcoming, and extremely helpful when planning activities in town. Plentiful parking and a large grassy area (with a protective rock wall separating it from the road (great for kids' safety)) with lots of tables and chairs for picnics or outdoor entertainment. Just a 5 minute walk from Tim Hortons, and a 10 minute walk into town. We stayed in the corner unit (#3), and it was very homey. A large window view of the front yard (the sides open up for fresh air). Rooms have an AC, as well as a heater (for chilly nights). A few too many furniture items for the room, though, felt a little crowded. My only real complaint is that the shower in our room just had a sheer curtain, which wouldn't stay in place when bathing. So, every time we showered, the bathroom floor would flood.😅🤦‍♀️10/10 would stay here again, though. Thank you for a lovely week.❤️

We were evacuated from our cabin on the ocean due to forest fires in the area. We travel with a dog, so not all accommodations are an option. The Picket Fence Motel is a great place, with great owners!!! We cannot say enough good things about this place.

We spent two nights at the Picket Fence Motel recently, one night on our way to the United States, and one night on our way home. We were very happy with both stays in different rooms. They were both clean and contained everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The beds were comfortable and we slept well. The owners even let us borrow camp chairs to take to a concert on Minister's Island which we very much appreciated! The location of Picket Fence Motel is very convenient for exploring the lovely town of Saint Andrews. We had a pleasant walk to the downtown for restaurants and shopping, it would be a very short drive if you don't want to walk. There are lots of good eating options in the town. We would not hesitate to stay here again if in the area.

Very nice, tidy, quaint place. The bathroom was so clean it was sparkling. Got excellent recommendations from the owners on where to eat and shop. In the evening, they put on a fire in the central courtyard where we sat and chatted with some other travelers. Golfed the beautiful Algonquin course, which borders the same street. 5 minute walk to the local coffee shop too. Would recommend to friends/fam.

This old style motel has its limitations. It was a small room with too much furniture in it. I liked having the windows open for fresh air until the loud neighbors returned after I was asleep. Then they kept me awake due to the thin walls. The wifi was poor. Not sure how they do this but the hot water is all that comes out of both taps most of the time, The shower was slightly larger than me, so forget trying to shave legs or wash feet! Even though this was a walkable location and the room was clean, I would not rent here again.

Found this lovely motel in St Andrews, NB. The Picket Fence Motel is super clean and the owners are friendly and helpful. Close to downtown, you can walk anywhere to take in the sights. The motel has been there for a long time and only two families have owned it in the last 100 years which they will celebrate in 2023. Many renovations have been done since then, of course. It's affordable, clean, and all you need for a good place to sleep.
