We stayed five nights, switching rooms once because of reservation timing. The entire property is spotless and precision-organized by the owners, a couple from South Korea who live in another wing of the property. The breakfasts are fantastic and beautifully presented in roughly three seatings between 8:30 and 9:30. Instead of taking the easy way out and offering a fixed or weekday-based menu, the owner Jon offers each guest a customized sequence of breakfast creations, based on the consecutive days of your stay, starting with the "signature dish" on your first morning. I've never seen this anywhere else! Accompanied by music from his selection of LPs playing on a turntable, with each table near a window, breakfast is a highlight. The rooms and beds are comfortable, charming, and fitted with every convenience. One tip in choosing rooms: if you are a very light or late sleeper, maybe avoid the rooms facing the market because of low level delivery noise in the mornings, but Jon alerted us of this in advance and it was not a problem for us. Otherwise the location and experience is perfect!

Spending our 20th anniversary here was a delight. The hosts John and Esther were great. Very friendly and available, Esther made delicious breakfast each morning that was plentiful and got us going for the day! Everything about the house is very Victorian, well decorated and clean ! Our room came with a 2 person jacuzzi which was spot on after a whole day of adventuring around Saint Andrews. The King size bed was very comfy and had ample pillows :) Overall a great stay and will definitely keep their number for future visits !

Our stay at Inn on Frederick has been the outmost greatest choice to have taken.
This rustic vintage B&B has so much history and characters and simply charming. Beautiful crafted original antique furnished rooms to it’s well kept originals. (Except beds. High quality mattress, very comfortable).
The Inn is very, very clean and the breakfast are presented beautifully made by Mrs. Esther (Mihyun). Husband John (Jonggwan) is the host who will make sure you get the most pleasant stay.

Proud owners Mr. John kim(Jonggwan Kim) and Mrs. Esther(Mihyun Kim) to “Inn on Frederick”

John stayed up to welcome us, after we were delayed until after midnight - much appreciated. He and Esther are delightful hosts who make you feel welcome and special. The bed was comfortable, the breakfasts highly original and scrumptious, and John was always available to answer questions and offer advice. Our second visit and it won't be the last. The only criticism I have is beyond his control: noise from garbage trucks and supermarket deliveries close by at 6.00 a.m.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back of the house would be quieter at dawn, I think.

A friendly, charming and attentive couple run this inn and they do a great job. The beds are super comfy, the inn is spotlessly clean, the location is perfect, and the breakfasts divine - much effort is put into the cooking and serving of a lovely hot breakfast, different every day, and great coffee too. We highly recommend the Inn on Frederick!

Room Tip: We chose ground floor (reserve ahead!) as we love old inns, but not all the stairs.

My husband and I just finished a one night stay at the Inn on Frederick. What a nice find in downtown St. Andrew! It is clean, comfortable and charming. Beautiful looking breakfast with a wonderful variety of tastes ( French toast; egg crepe; yogurt and a variety of fruit) and our room, with a King size bed, was spacious and very comfortable. The owners clearly take pride in their business and ensure that guests are taken care of. Thank you for a much needed overnight escape. We’ll be back.

Inn on Fredrick is located in the seaside village of St. Andrews where the historical architecture, quaint shops, and local eateries are plentiful. On-site parking made it convenient and safe to leave our car and explore this pedestrian friendly town. Our Innkeepers were outstanding! They were attentive and available throughout our stay with recommendations for activities and sites. Breakfast was exceptional and was included with our booking, which also made it a great value. Plenty of common areas to relax and unwind.

Had a very nice one night stay. My queen room on the second floor was spacious and comfortable and everything was very clean. The shower was really good (always a concern in an older building 😀). Breakfast was included—delicious eggs, French toast, and fruit and served in a cute dining room.

The family that runs the inn were so lovely—very friendly and helpful. The inn has a nice wide porch with tables perfect for relaxing…and you might catch a glimpse of one of St. Andrews many (many) deer.

Lovely antique-filled house in quaint downtown St Andrews. Easy walking distance to restaurants and whale tours. Our room had a very comfortable four-poster queen bed and other antiques. Very helpful hosts who provided restaurant suggestions (William and Water highly recommended) and delicious artistically-arranged breakfasts.

My own opinion but I hated musty smell in the room, old flowery sheets, no bedside table on one side of the queen size bed which small even for two modest size people.

The bathroom was dated with peeling wallpaper and ridiculous reminder not to take their big bottles of shampoo and the hair dryer. Do the guests need this reminder? Really? And what about the huge plastic tree in the corner proudly collecting dust? What purpose does it serve?

Breakfast was pour but pretentious. Coffee was terrible, and French toast was very poorly done. Fruit salad was soggy and not edible.

We are very disappointed and would not recommend this property to our friends.
