We stayed two nights in this gem of a house. Zainub and Ben were wonderful hosts and made our stay so comfortable. The accommodation was fabulous and the breakfast was delicious. The sight of deer in the garden was amazing. We would highly recommend a stay here if you are visiting the St Andrews area. Paddy & Susan (Ireland).

In a last minute and serendipitous change of plans we found ourselves booking an overnight stay at the Montague Rose Inn, and we were so glad we did! Ben and Zainub were welcoming and ready for us with a comfortable room, great local recommendations, an outdoor seating area complete with a visit from some local does and their fawns, and a delicious breakfast in the tea room. Romantic and homey, we stayed in the Romeo room which had a comfortable bed, wireless charger, fridge, coffee maker and private bath. It was a memorable stay and we will be back!

Zainab and Ben are the most delightful hosts! Putting their hearts into their newly acquired business (a year old now) they have done beautiful renovations to the rooms and are quickly adding decks, patio and planning more gardens for the property. Their attention to detail is outstanding. Their friendliness is infectious, exactly what a traveler appreciates in a holiday spot. The comfortable bedrooms with en suites are beautifully renovated and the main floor sitting room and breakfast room are inviting. Breakfast is substantial - eggs, cheese, croissant, orange juice, coffee, yogurt and fruit. Inclusion of gifts items for sale by local artisans is quickly making them a welcome part of their chosen community. A delightful experience from arrival to departure!

The Montague Rose dates from 1859 and has been lovingly restored into a lovely and inviting B & B by hosts Zainub and Ben. We only stayed one relaxing evening and in the midst of Covid our hosts found the time to have breakfast - a delightful breakfast at that! - with us the next morning. The Montague Rose also hosts an afternoon proper English tea with scones, etc., something we simply didn't have the time to pursue. St. Andrews is a beautiful idyllic seaside town just inside the Canadian/US border on Passamaquoddy Bay - and offers many dining and quality shopping opportunities.

We stayed two nights in September and really like this B&B. The owners were very friendly and helpful, and spent time with their guests over breakfast. The breakfast was delicious! High tea was also available here, and although we didn’t book it for this visit, it’s something we’d do next time. The room was lovely, very comfortable. The location was very close to the waterfront. We enjoyed getting more familiar with this lovely community. The only issue we had with this house was accessibility. Rooms are on the second floor and there is no elevator. For anyone with mobility issues, this may not be the best choice.

This was a highlight on our trip to Canada. The hosts were awesome. Great breakfast and beautiful room. Perfect location. Near downtown but away from the noise. Nice sitting areas near our room and downstairs. Charming decor in a charming Victorian house.

My mother, sister and I visited this beautiful B&B for High Tea on Sunday Aug 8th. We were welcomed by Zainub and escorted to the tea room which was tastefully decorated in modern and vintage decor. We were invited to choose from a variety of antique tea cups to use during the tea experience. Ben provided a history on “High Tea” which was followed by the delivery of a beautiful tiered stand full of delicious offerings including homemade clotted cream! The entire experience from start to finish was fantastic! We will definitely be back!

We had such a wonderful stay here! Not only was the house and room beautifully designed, but the hosts were amazing and incredibly accommodating, even arriving late at night. They did everything to make sure our stay was as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The rooms were clean, quiet and comfortable, and the breakfast included was delicious! We will definitely be back. Thanks Ben and Zainub for your wonderful hospitality. 👍
