This is a really great place to stay. Well located, comfortable rooms and great service. Staff are extremely welcoming and very helpful. Loved the historic room and the grounds are very well kept. A really nice Hotel and delightful accommodation
We loved Tara Manor. It’s pool was lovely. The grounds were super lovely and the room was big and very clean. It may be a little dated interior wise. But the bed was very lush and all was clean. It was just a two minute drive to down town. So great location. If your a family you will like this place. Lots of room and staff were very lovely too!!! Lots of Lovely’s for this place. Definitely will be going back! Plus one thing we did learn is that had we not booked through a third party we would have had a continental breakfast. Oh well the local food is still amazing
I would recommend The Tara Manor. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean. The restaurant was not open but they did have a grab and go in the fridge in our room and coffee. The pool was excellent, Clean and heated. I will be going back next summer for a trip
We had a nice time at the Inn - loved the feel of the property and hotel - it’s dated but clean and loved the pool. We also liked the fire pit - checkin was great and we loved the decks on the two rooms we had .
Enjoyed trip to St. Andrews and accommodations at Tara Manor Inn were excellent and inviting. The pool was a bonus and even though we are in a time of a pandemic the hosts made it feel as welcoming as possible. Look forward to staying there again for future trips
When my daughter told me we were in a garden view suite perhaps I was expecting better things. The place is rather run down, the garden view includes a large lawn with some perennials in a border on each side, not as good as my small backyard garden. The room was in bad need of redecoration. Cheap wood laminate flooring, imitation tile flooring in the bathroom, imitation tile wallpaper, a plywood vanity (it was spacious) and damaged ceiling fan and tub enclosure. The pop up sink and tub plugs did not work, I had to use the sink plug to take a bath. The beds were clean and comfortable, the wi-fi worked well, a small fridge was convenient. There was no cleaning service (we were there two nights) and the second night we wanted clean towels and the office was closed (who runs a hotel with no one in the office overnight?). My daughter did say the pool was nice.…
We arrived on a hot day they didn't turn the air conditioning on it was a small portable air conditioner which didn't work. The room smelled like a moldy basement. The board's on the walk way were rotted and nails sticking up every where. I stuck a stump in the edge of my foot getting out of my truck. I stubbed my toe on the walk way from the pool the patio slabs where all up and down. Free continental breakfast was a Brown paper bag with a crosaunt not wrapped lose with no butter at and thing to put on it one boiled egg ,a apple and yogurt, juice box all from Costco. No microwave the beds were terrible and 6 inc drop down in side the front door and 6 inc step into the bathroom. Air conditioning didn't work my wife and I didn't sleep for too days. These people should be shut down very big waste of time and money cost me 340.dolls and wasn't worth half thanks for ruining my vacation. And been sick since …
We loved the Inn, it was easy to find, close to all tourist attractions, clean and friendly. The pool was wonderful and there were lots of chairs around for a family gathering. The rooms were Clean, large, quaint - bathrooms were modern.
Lovely Inn, a bite dated, but definitely was made up for By the spacious rooms, private decks and swimming pool. Also, was very nice to be able to have a bonfire in the evening which the owners set all up, wonderful people. Unfortunately due to COVID the restaurant wasn’t open and I had heard wonderful things about in.
We had a great experience at the Tara Manor. It was a 5 minute drive to Water st, close enough to all accommodations yet far enough to enjoy the peace and quiet. The pool was wonderful, we had our own patio section, and an air conditioning unit in the room. Everything we needed. Travelling with 2 under 3 can be difficult but they were very accommodating.
