Comfortable. Clean. Old but kept up to date. We try to get one of the rooms in the main building looking toward the ocean. Very private and quiet. Beautiful landscaped grounds. Looking forward to staying there again in August, only longer.

Love the area and Ministers Island. Super friendly even their huge dog Bear. Thankfully. Easy access to town and Ministers Island. Watch your tidal charts and have fun. Nice place. We'll stay there again.

My sister and I spent 10 days touring Canada and of all of our stays, this was one of my favorites. It is a quite town, with a nice downtown shopping area. Very low key for anyone looking to get away from big cities and enjoy a local flavor. Can't wait to return.

If a bathroom that you can dance in is your fancy, Tara Motor Inn, is your spot! If rooms that are huge - two queen beds, couch, desk, etc. Tara is the location. All the best describing adjectives apply, clean, friendly, quiet. A better than fair value.

The new owners will eventually get this property up to great standards. They are a lovely couple. Right now, however, the rooms are decorated in 1950's style and many repairs are needed. The breakfast was very good.

On both our trip up and on the way back,we spent a night at Tara Manor. Both rooms were fabulous. Whoever designs the decor for the rooms is amazing. Very plush. Staff pleasant and helpful. Very clean. Nice landscaped yards. Unique property.

Billed as a historic motel, perhaps the modifying words should be "tired but still serviceable." Although limited by its dated design, the setting is beautiful, the beds were still very comfortable and the price was very reasonable. Negatives: the room was very dark (need more lamps, especially near the chairs for reading), the included continental breakfast was mostly carbohydrates, and...

From check in to check out, our experience was wonderful. The room was lovely, and the bed very comfortable. Large clean bathroom, microwave and fridge, and TV with many channels and free WIFI rounded out this room. There was lots of space outside to walk my dogs which I appreciated. This was one of our best stays on our east...

We stayed in the motel section of the Tara Manor our last evening in New Brunswick. From our room the next morning, we saw the pretty orange sky above the water as the sun was rising. Both beds and chairs in our very large clean room were comfortable. Many TV channels were available, and the room had a closet, a...

We stayed 1 night at this property a couple of weeks ago. This place was recommended by the visitor's centre and we were not disappointed. If we had had more time, we would have enjoyed it even more. There is a heated, outdoor pool which was enjoyed by some happy children. There is lots of open space, many trees and...

“Our room was beautiful. I think the original parlor?? The only issue we had was I am very sensitive to odors and I could smell the old mustiness from the fireplace. But I spoke with the front desk and they were going to work on that after we left. ”
