On busy highway and intersection with lots of street noise. Also loud rumbling noise coming from somewhere in hotel all night long. If you like firm mattresses their mattresses are extremely soft. Front counter staff very friendly and room very clean.
The staff is extremely helpful and welcoming. Amazing location. Rooms have incredible views into the bay. Rooms are very nice and comfortable. The pool and spa area are very clean and open until late. The restaurant has very nice ambience but food is average
Great hotel that has been completely renovated. Indoor pool is lovely, with sauna for relaxing. Staff friendly an helpful and room very comfortable and roomy. Within walking distance to shopping and restaurants.
We were looking at visiting family up island and wanted to add a night stay into the mix. The hotels where our family lives were very pricey. While looking around we found the Qualicum Beach Inn which was about 45mins away and was offering a really cheap rate. We figured why not we can stay on the beach instead of in a town! We arrived around 5pm, and was greeted by an amazing fun loving team at the front desk! There were a few people all checking in at the same time, so there was a small line up that they got through in no time at all. Our room was on the second floor, so we walked up stairs (I do not believe they had an elevator). It looks like this hotel was recently reno'ed. They did a fantastic job! We entered a very spacious room, with the most amazing set of window! We were looking over the parking lot but I could only image them if you were facing the ocean! Just stunning! The room had a large king bed, a big desk, tv and a sitting area! The bathroom was a typical hotel bathroom size. It also had a large clothes with really nice bath robes and a steamer. Everything was extremely clean and well taken care of. AC worked great! The hotel has heated indoor pool, hot tub, sauna, gym it also offers a few different shuttle services from golf cart to escalade. We were not here long enough to use any of them. They also had an amazing restaurant. But we did have a chance to walk across the road and enjoy the amazing beach! This place would make for a great mini vacation or weekend away. …
The occasion was a family gathering to celebrate my wife's 75th birthday. I booked 2 rooms including the King Fantastic for my wife and I. We also booked a table for 8 in the dining room for the major event. From start to finish the staff were great. The dinner event was wonderful. Darcy, the dining room manager, and his staff looked after us beautifully and added some nice touches to the party. The food was excellent and well priced. Our room was well stocked with amenities. It and the bathroom were not overly spacious but adequate and comfortable. The robes in the room and the coffee were wonderful. The only negatives were a stain on the rug and drip stains on the wall below the heater. I was surprised that these were not dealt with in the hotel's showcase room but it was nothing major. The heater takes some learning. The are instructions on how to use it in the room info manual but it is still confusing. My son in the other room and i both had to get the desk manager, John, to come up and show us how to get it going. John, by the way was really helpful as well as fun and entertaining. We were there in early December so the balcony did not come into play but the view of the Georgia Straight and the islands is quite beautiful. I read a number of other reviews of this property and was quite surprised to see a few had issues with the staff. That was certainly not our experience. There is also some genesis to the business model of this hotel. The ownership has roots in the Quality Food chain which its rated in the top 100 Canadian companies to work for. That is reflected in the staff going the extra yard to satisfy the customer. For that reason I would rate this hotel a 5 in spite of a couple of minor room issues.…
We had 2 dinners here and the food and service was very, very good. The menu is extensive as is the beverage menu. Their signature dish is the Spaghetti Vongole which was absolutely amazing - tons of clams and delicious broth. The lemon tart was exquisite. Good drinks and lovely servers. Highly recommend this restaurant as well as the hotel itself. Rooms are immaculate, comfortable and good amenities. Stay here. Eat here.
Excellent Thanksgiving dinner. They had a set 3 course offering that we enjoyed. The turkey was delicious. Our server, Sabrena, was the best. Great friendly service. We couldn't eat the desert due to how much food they served us but they packaged it for us to take away. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great night out.
Our rooms were clean, spacious and modern with air conditioning and large bathrooms. We had a peaceful night’s sleep. The pool and fitness facilities were excellent: quiet and clean. The staff were kind and gave several helpful restaurant and activities recommendations. Very swift check-in and -out and attentive service.
It’s hard to write a review about this restaurant.. It looks good when you walk in, the view is amazing and you imagine soft lounge music and attentive staff but you soon realize this is a place struggling to find it’s real identity.. It wants to be high end but it’s just not sure.. it thinks if you overcharge then it’s high end… In the meantime you struggle through with a fork So small I thought it was a child’s. When I asked the waitress she said ‘well we’ve run out and we’re washing the big ones’! We couldn’t trace down anyone to order wine until halfway through the meal.. Food was pretty good though overall.. The lemon tart was the star of the show! The biggest struggle (apart from the fork) was trying to speak over the overly loud and totally inappropriate music.. High end is not Benny and the jets followed by some heavy metal.. pull yourself together and decide.. Fine dining or not.. Thank goodness you have the view..…
Check in staff were a bit surely. Room lacked privacy - patio door and small sitting area opened onto bar patio. Amenities are mediocre: very small pool suitable only for kids, not swimming; very limited fitness room. Room was large and partially updated. Cleaning was poor. Doors were very sticky. Beds were reasonable & room was quiet. Bar/restaurant/patio are quite good & service there was excellent. Location is fabulous just a crosswalk away from the centre of the beach. Very expensive.
