This was our first time staying at The Sooke Harbour House...We had a very nice and comfortable room.( #25). It was very spacious and the 3rd floor views were incredible. The heated wood floors made it also very cosy and warm on the feet. This room would also be excellent for a family of 3-4 as there was a sofa...

We decided to head up for a weekend getaway. A nice short drive from town and booked 1 night, a couples massage and a 4 course dinner. We were greeted and shown to our room and given a brief history of the property, which is very historic and quite pretty. Well worth reading up on beforehand and appreciating while you...

Having read the mixed reviews here I wasn't sure what to expect for our late November weekend stay, but we were charmed by this property; the rooms, the service, and food quality all added up to a warm, positive first impression. Yes the property is looking dated and the gardens a bit overrun, moss on the roof and siding in...

Sooke Harbour House is a lovely little oceanside hotel on the edge of Sooke BC Vancouver Island. We first visited one night in October 2016 and loved it so much we returned for a three night stay in mid November. Our room was a queen bed overlooking the ocean with a very private outdoor jetted tub. We sat for hours...

Booked a two night stay for 2 adults and 2 kids. We typically stay in hotels and tend to shy away from inns and B&B like places, but we found the room very charming, clean and comfy. We stayed in their family suite which was a loft room with a queen bed and two loft singles which the kids loved....

I was lucky enough to get married here at the Sooke Harbour House in July 2015. We had a morning ceremony on the grounds outside, a lunch reception inside and then my husband and I stayed the night in one of their beautiful suites. Everything about the experience was top notch. The location, the food, the rooms, everything. We also...

Booked a special -- one night's stay and supper for two for $500. The property is every bit as good as any advertising (and practically all reviews) state. The rooms are quirkily but expensively fitted out and the views are really good. The property itself and nearby ocean parklet offer lots of opportunity for strolls. We were really happy when...

Dear Stevejoey, Thank you so much for your feedback and for your recent visit to the Sooke Harbour House. The rooms were clean and cozy. Each room with fireplace (wood and ready to go)! Walk out to a deck with a jet tub. The port each night compliments of Sooke Harbour House was awsome! (And the cookies) Walking the spit everyday seeing the sea lions, was wonderful! The restaurant was excellent and staff were wonderful. We will be back...

We stayed at Sooke Harbour House for 1-night in early Oct ($280). The Harbour House is perched dramatically on a small hill overlooking Juan de Fuca Strait. It is set among extensive grounds that are dotted with driftwood and native themed sculptures, gardens, and garden plots where some of the vegetables and herbs used in the restaurant are grown. The...

Our unique 28 rooms feature a selection of fine amenities including spa tubs and steam showers. All of the guest rooms have wood-burning fireplaces and ocean views, with the exception of the very spacious family room which overlooks our garden area. We offer meeting facilities, spa services, recreational activities and eco-tourism in pristine wilderness. Whale watching can be enjoyed within walking distance, and on occasion the Orcas swim in front of the hotel! The Sooke Harbour House is a perfect destination for weddings, romantic holidays and an 'any season getaway'. In 2016 all 28 guest rooms were sympatheically renovated with new carpets, beds, luxury linens and 40 inch flat screens with cable tv. In September 2016 we opened our wonderful new Copper Room, featuring a large selection of Island produced craft beers, wines and spirits as well as international favourites. The Copper Room is open from 11:00am to 9:00pm year-round daily, serving a more casual menu of wholesome and hearty foods as an alternative to our fine dining. *** Please note: From 18th October until Spring our fine-dining restaurant is closed every Tuesday and Wednesday.
