My wife and i have stayed here probably 20 of the last 25 years. Upon arrival this August the greeting was terrible, the bathroom had black mold and no curtain on the window, people were smoking on the deck even though it was not allowed, you could not walk on the deck because the bottom of your feet would be black because it was dirty, people backed into parking stalls in which the exhaust goes straight into the rooms, the pool area only had one umbrella for shade and it was over 30 everyday so pool time was minimal.
This motel is dirty and unsafe! The outside of the hotel is literally falling down and the inside is filthy. All bed sheets were stained. Moldy bathroom. Fans covered in dust. Clearly not clean (probably a health risk!) see photos. We refused to sleep here and rude staff would not give a refund.
We had a decent stay at this hotel with our 3 kids. The hotel is showing its age and could definitely use some updating. The room was clean and the bed was pretty comfy. The kids had fun in the outdoor pool, I wish the pool deck and area would have been a bit cleaner. There’s several potted flowers that would be beautiful if they were getting watered and deadheaded regularly. We had to ask for things like garbage bags, toilet paper and coffee when we needed topped up after our first night. The staff were all friendly and welcoming. The parking is quite narrow and up a steep hill. We have a small car so it wasn’t an issue but if you drive a large truck parking in here would be challenging.
We stay at Motel Tyrol every year for Victoria Day for the past 10 years. We came here with our children dejen they were little kids and we come with them now when they are in their 20 and everyone enjoys this cozy motel with the outdoor heated pool. The water now is really warm since the current owner replaced the heater last year. convenient location with beautiful view of the mountains. Strongly recommend this motel for people of all ages.
Avoid this hotel. I do not recommend staying at this place, there are a lot better hotels around the hot springs area. They do not care about their guests and are not willing to accommodate. Spend your money elsewhere.
if you are looking for a get away place to stay with your family this is the perfect place. it comes with pool/hottub and kitchen. i had been here couple times with my kids and they love it. they enjoy being in the pool the whole time. the owner and staff are very friendly.... from red deer!
They now have a continental breakfast and an ice machine which are nice features. I believe the current owners are trying hard to please their patrons. The outdoor pool is why we stay there but it is starting to need repairs and it would be nice to see some new loungers, chairs, tables and umbrellas to brighten up the area. The rooms are comfortable but hot at night as there is no AC. It’s great to watch the passing traffic and wildlife from the balcony.
We stayed for 9 wonderful days here with my family. Nirav and his staff are awesome. Anything we needed was provided. The pool and hot tub was well kept. Stay here if you’re looking for a great view of the mountains.
Was unsure about this motel but it turned out to be ok the first night. But the second.......nightmare. We had the cops come to break up a husband and wife fight at 2 am that woke everybody up. We had hardly any hot water the second night, I’m assuming because the hotel was at capacity and couldn’t keep up. And the walls are paper thin so could hear conversations going on in the room next to you. I told the staff this and I didn’t even get an apology. So saying that, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and I will not be staying there ever again.
We stayed for the long weekend. Our room was very clean and staff very friendly. The location is wonderful to visit the main street. Loved that the wild life visited every morning and evening, bighorn sheep and deer. The pool is a good size, and secluded. We even had a band that played for 2 hours on the patio.
