The Rocky Mountain Springs Lodge and Citadella Restaurant is situated well above Radium Hot Springs with the BEST view in town. We have panoramic view from every and EACH private balcony, even from the lower floor. Our Hungarian Restaurant is under the motel, with a huge patio, also with a magnificent view and the most delicious meals in an idyllic atmosphere. You can see the Rocky Mountains from everywhere in town, from all the motels, but it is not comparable to our view, just like you see it from an airplane or a bird's eye. Room price includes hot breakfast served in our restaurant with a variety of items to find your favorite one. It is not a buffet, rather a freshly served breakfast made by our Hungarian Chef, just like our dinners. We have an extensive menu for the evening meals, a variety of Hungarian, western and vegetarian dishes. You can watch the sunset while dining or from your private balcony, and the sunrise from your bed if you wish. We have pet friendly and wheelchair accessible suites on the main floor. All rooms have sitting area, new queen beds, new carpets, fridge, microwave and free WIFI. We can provide coffee makers or cattle's in your room.We are located a 1000feet over town by the National Park with all sorts of wildlife frequently walking by. A trail trough the forest starts from our parking lot to the Mineral Hot Springs. We, the owners clean the rooms, so they are spotlessly clean and we serve you in the restaurant as well, very friendly hospitality.

I stayed one night in Aug.2022. The breakfast offered the next morning was awful. The box of juice in breakfast pack was expired for several months. (exp. Feb.2022)!! Beds were not clean and full of hair. Very bad experience. If you do not want to ruin your vacation, stay away from this hotel.

We stayed here for two nights on July 24 & 25th. Based on Trip Advisor ratings it sounded fantastic. On the bright side the view from the room was great and the beds were comfortable, and also there was air conditioning which was good since it was hot. The price was reasonable. There were Bighorn up the drive in and we had a nice view from the room. Unfortunately, the room was in bad disrepair. There were hardly any electrical outlets to recharge devices. We traveled for 22 days and this was the only place that had not at least purchased after market charging stations for charging electronics. There were no working lamps in the room. The bulbs were either not in there, not plugged in, or didnt' fit. The chairs on the pation were falling apart. breakfast was very disappointing. We paid for the hot breakfast upgrade for $5 per day and did not even eat there the second morning. Cold processed eggs, baked beans, and cold porridge with canned peaches. We did not eat dinner there and enjoyed going into town to Radium Brewing and the Pizza place. All of this can be fixed and it wouldn't be that expensive.

The view from this place is great but doesn't compensate for the rest of it. When we arrived we found that we had to go next door to check in and to our surprise were asked for a $100 deposit as well as payment for the one night. When we got to the room we found a wet, grey rag behind the bathroom door that had a whole host of creatures living under it! I went back next door and returned it to the reception lady who apologise. When we went out we couldn't get the door to lock so I went back again to reception and had to use the phone as there was no-one there. The person who answered said she couldn't remember if I had to push a button or turn a knob inside before shutting the door but it was one or the other. Fortunately another couple were coming out of their room and showed us what to do. We did contemplate the breakfast but walked in and straight out again and after reading the posts am glad we did.

Apparently this hotel has changed hands. The wonderful breakfasts (like waffles with vanilla pudding) are no more. Complementary breakfast is now a 'hot' buffet with lukewarm food, watered down juice, and coffee from an urn. You have to check-in by going to the lobby of the hotel next door, where you have to pick up a phone to get someone to come to the lobby and that took awhile. Our room came equipped with a 1/4 roll of toilet paper, a toilet that was always running, a fridge that wasn't cold, and a patio door that took a lot of pulling to slide open or closed. No housekeeping during the stay as they are short-staffed. At suppertime, some menu items were unavailable and our polite waitress was on her second day of work. Fortunately Radium has a good variety of restaurants in town. We've stayed there many times in the past but we will not be back.

Yes, the view out your patio will be lovely. If that's all you care about, great. And the sheets were clean. And the wood walls were lovely. But... you are definitely surrounded by the woods so don't be surprised if a stray ant or some other friends make their way into your room. Bring indoor shoes to walk on the carpet in your room because, ew. The decorative pillow that is likely near-never washed was put directly on top of the fresh pillowcases on both beds - who does that?? There was a beetle stuck under the glass of a framed print above our bed. Bring your own toiletries (shampoo, conditioner)! It was a good thing we had our own toilet paper because our bathroom didn't even have a quarter of a roll left when our family of 4 arrived and there was no backup roll in our room. Whoever was tending to breakfast was likely inexperienced because the pancakes were still frozen and the garbage can was left overflowing so that there was food and garbage on the floor. Breakfast is very standard - I've had worse but I've had better - premade pancakes, cereal, toast, apples, hard-boiled eggs, coffee, juice in a cooler. The carpet in the restaurant suffers from age and looks like it may have been subject to some flooding or a really really big spill... The intense staining is not subtle. We slept decently enough but we won't be back.

Very comfortable accommodation with outstanding view over the Columbia Valley and village of Radium. Our room was well aerated, sparkling clean with a comfy mattress for an easy sleep. It would be nicer if: breakfast (continental) would start earlier, another toaster be added, ‘cause everyone line up to one toast machine at 8:00 am to get a piece of bread toasted. A small investment with a significant customer experience impact.

We stayed 1 night. Yes the view is great, the price per night low, the room clean, the toilet trouble flushing only water, the Hungarian Restaurant is no more and the breakfast was not the mouth watering Hungarian spread described in previous post(s), but instead a very basic continental of bread, cereal, juice, and luke warm coffee. I assume the ownership-management has changed here and the Hungarian ownership is no more as the flags flying did not have a Hungarian, Canadian, or provincial British Columbian representation?? The Trip Advisor description of this hotel needs to be changed to avoid future patron disappointment. Would I pay more somewhere else to get what’s advertised, yes.

You’ll get a amazing sleep on the top of the hill. The mountain view is worth million dollars. The location is perfect. Staying here was a treat. The views are lovely, the wildlife in the mornings are nice to watch, and the suite was equipped and furnished with everything we needed.

Our hosts were very friendly and helpful. The view is spectacular. The breakfast was included and was very good. While the room could use some upgrades it is very spacious and comfortable. This was was our second visit and plan to return again.

We stayed 2 short nights at this lodge, meeting the most friendliest of owners of the lodge, who went over and above anything that you might expect. The service and conversation was wonderful with the couple, as they recommended some sights in the area which really made our trip that much more exciting. The breakfast was absolutely delicious. Our only regret, is that we didn't stay longer. From the international family / Belarus / Ethiopian and Canadian - Aug 20-22.
