Stayed here on our way home from PEI. We arrived late at night without a reservation. The owners were very friendly and accomodating. They went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. The room and bathroom were very clean.

My wife and I accidentally stumbled upon this little gem of a hotel on our way out to Prince Edward Island. Initially, we had intended to spend the night and get some much needed rest before our last big push to the island. However, as we all know, sometimes plans were meant to be broken!! We ended up staying three...

I used to stay here, but now it's no longer the same. The restaurant used to feature vegetables grown on the premises and more "homemade" cuisine. Not bad, but it is disappointing comparing it to how it was before. The rooms are still decent. Perhaps the new owners will bring the restaurant back to its former caliber. Good luck!

I stopped at this motel on my way to and back to Halifax which was a good idea! The check in was very fast, courteous staff, clean room with good amenities. I've read lots f reviews about the good German restaurant, I did not eat there but by the smell of the food I could imagine how tasty it was....

We stayed here on our trip to Cape Breton. Great highway access and not too far from Fredericton. The area is a popular spot for hikers and a river view. The adjoining restaurant was quite packed and the parking lot filled with cars. The residents of the Motel can always get a table as they save spots for travelers that...

While it has been years since my Dad and I checked into our second-storey room at this incredible quaint motel with great service, even better food, and a view that's beautiful no matter the time of day. I can remember the sunset, and because my only complaint would be my Dad's snoring that kept me up until sunrise, I can...

I had the pleasure to eat here and all I can say is WOW!!! The food is amazing. Authentic German cuisine right down to the perfect dessert selection! I have been to Germany many times and you would never know the difference sitting in the restaurant at John Gyles Motor Inn and downtown Heidelberg! Portions are huge! Sausages are huge....

Well a barvarian enclave. The restaraunt is great for german delights. Service fast and friendly. The hotel is a throwback to another age. Small but tottaly adequate. Old bed but good mattress. Weird pillows. We will stop here again on our cape breton ontario commute.

This establishment is a combination motel and restaurant located just off the Transcanada highway. We had read the reviews and it sounded like a good deal, plus we like to eat at the same place we stay to avoid fast food boredom. John Gyles and the attached Heino's German Cuisine were a fine example of getting away from the same...
