Pros: The staff were very nice, the hotel was cozy.

Cons: we booked this place so we could lounge in the pool and hot tub. The indoor hot tub has been drained and the outdoor hot tub is currently closed. The pool is only available to guests for a 1 hour period per day. There is no cleaning or room service because of covid. I understand this is out of their control but some things didn’t make sense - 1.5 rolls of toilet paper for an entire stay in a room that sleeps 6 people? Restaurant and bar not open.

Overall, this was nowhere near a 4 star stay. Not enough value for our money.

As a family of 5, we typically stay at the resort when visiting Tremblant. This time we decided to stay with Chateau Beauvallon.
The access to the mountain was flawless due to the free ski shuttle. Our skis were stored in a locker outside with access from the shuttle driver.
The staff greeted us with great hospitality; providing lots of suggestions to the area outside of skiing.
We booked a 2 bedroom family suite: 2 bedrooms with a king bed, Murphy bed, and pullout sofa bed. I must say, it was a tight squeeze. The suite was equipped with a kitchenette (no oven), all the essentials, and a very small fridge. Thank God it was cold outside as we stored a lot of food on the balcony.
A continental breakfast was served everyday which had lots of healthy options; fruit, eggs, Greek yogurt (and loads of unhealthy).
Our stay was great, unfortunately for us it was too small. For the price we paid, we would have been better off at renting a home.

We booked a family suite at Chateau Beauvallon during the school break week this winter. The room was nice, big and clean with heated bathroom floors and an electric chimney. It had a beautiful terrasse for summer vacations too.
We had access to the exterior heated pool but didn’t actually use it.
There was also a small pool for children indoors.
The breakfast is ok but the breakfast room is so small they encourage guests to fill their trays and have breakfast in their rooms.
I went to use the gym (which is situated next to the door leading to the exterior heated pool) and there were many kids playing with the 3 machines so the next day 2 of them stopped working. There was no way to use the mat or weights, people coming and going to the pool frequently.
The hotel is only a few minutes away from Domaine Saint-Bernard which is the place for snowshoeing.
If you don’t care about the gym you’ll have an agreeable stay because apart from that we really enjoyed our time there and really recommend this hotel especially to families.

We stumbled into this hotel while trying to book a vacation in Tremblant. Everything in the village was booked as we waited too long. The good - the rooms are great. Large living area, private king suite and two bathrooms. The kitchenette and small dining area were also a great plus. The exercise area is not very good and the indoor pool tiny. The shuttle to go back and forth to the mountain ran on time but returning back after the new year fireworks took an hour because of traffic - that is the one time we wished we were at the village. The price is overpriced. Bar is adequate as is the breakfast which is continental style. Eggs are not real. There were issues with rooms not being ready at 4 pm which is checkout time and a fire scare one of the nights we were there put folks out for about 40 minutes at 11pm. We never heard anything. No alarms rang which was good as we slept through it all. I would go back but if going back new year would definitely choose a stay in the village.

We also recognize that New year's eve celebration at the mountain brings its share of disturbance due to its immense popularity and we are sorry for the inconvenience it may have caused. Understanding these times are trying for any business now due to economic recovery and staffing issues, we tried to be as patient as we could. Sadly, the state of our 3 bedroom suite was appalling (carpets were extremely stained and gross), unsanitary issues that would take a simple wipe to clean. We were told housekeeping would come the next day when we were out...we never saw them once in the 4 days we were here. Went back to the front desk again to speak with a manager and was told there was staffing issues.

The one day we decided to swim, the outdoor pool was closed because their lifeguard just didn't show up. The restaurant was closed (which we didn't know before getting here), the bar was closed, indoor pool was closed, and we were very disappointed that the outdoor pool was closed to top it off. The front staff tried their best to accommodate the many grumbles of disappointment. Outside on our patio, it was littered with cigarette butts and garbage. During our stay, we never saw any groundskeeper or maintenance, but there may have been one, we are unsure.

We felt that the beds were wonderful, sheets were clean, and that was the best part of our experience.

Such a beautiful spot but so much love and care needed. Hopefully a larger corporation can buy it and give it and the community a proper renovation to offer better quality for people spending good money for a relaxing holiday environment. We certainly felt it was not worth the $2400 spent, unfortunately.

Hi Beth - thank you for your feedback and for staying with us! We are glad to hear that you found your bed to be comfortable and that you loved the location of the property! However, we regret to learn that you experienced frustration due to amenity closures. It's important to us that we're transparent with our guests surrounding what they can expect for their stay, which is why we posted about the interior pool, bar, and restaurant closures on our website. We also want to offer our apologies regarding the pool closure the day that you were looking to swim. Unfortunately, it was an unforeseen staffing issue and we are unable to open the pool without a lifeguard as guest safety is a top priority. We're happy to report that the exterior pool is back to its normal operation now and we hope that you'll give us another chance next time you're in town. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts!

My family of nine had scheduled to travel to Chateau Beauvallon on Dec 26 through January 2. This was our Christams gift to our family which we confidently booked in July.

In the days before our travel date, the COVID-19 public health crisis had escalated at a pace that no reasonable person could have anticipated. The Government requested that all non-essential travel be avoided in Quebec, and mandated that gatherings be limitted to a party of 6 as of Dec 26.

Our party size and the non essentail purpose of our travel placed us in direct contravention of the governement restrictions. As it stood, we could not gather, eat together, or access any of the now limitted hotel amenities. This would not be the vacation we had agreed to or paid for.

When we reached out to the hotel, to change our travel dates to comply with the Government directives, we were met with a rude and condescending response.

The lack of flexibility and the manner in which we were treated by this hotel so disappointing.

During what is an incredibly trying time, the Chateau Beauvallon was very unproffesinal and unreasonable adding insult to the injury of having to cancel a much-anticipated family vacation at a high cost.

I would not recommend this hotel to any other family.

I found senior members of hotel administration team compassionate and understanding, able to address our concerns with planning the trip after entire family came down with a flu shortly before the trip and was not able to travel. They were accommodating and made kind decision to allow us to change dates of travel so both, children and adults could fully enjoy the trip. We look forward to coming to hotel. As our family grows, staying in traditional single room hotels becomes less attractive and with its home-like settings and friendly staff Chateau Beauvallon can become our preferred option to come to Canada for winter and summer seasons and bring extended family. I will post further review after each trip but wanted to set a positive tone and share recent positive experience from interaction with the hotel.

The Chateau was clean, the grounds were beautiful and the staff super friendly.

Our room was ready before the advised late check-in time — takes longer for in-depth cleaning — although we were warned of new pool schedule, it actually had no bearing on our ability to enjoy the facilities!

There was a really friendly groundhog that the kids enjoyed watching. The three kids loved our trip, the bathrobes were super fluffy and the welcome kit was just awesome... who doesn’t love l’Occitane!?

My friend booked a room for the 4 of us over 2 weeks from now. Unfortunately, due to the coronavirus situation we are no longer able to go to Mont Tremblant. While all the hotels in Quebec allowed us to get a full refund, I was dismayed to find the management's unsympathetic and inflexible attitude in refusing a full refund. It is extremely disappointing and unprofessional during these difficult times for everyone. Customers who are thinking about doing business with this establishment should think twice.

Hello, We always appreciate guest feedback and thank you for sharing your review. We’re sorry you didn’t have the opportunity to make your trip and experience the exceptional accommodations and customer service we are known for. As you can imagine during this uncertain time we are experiencing a huge inflation of cancellation requests and doing our best to handle each one appropriately and in a timely manner. We do understand how you feel and are trying our best to work with you on a fair resolution. At the time of booking you chose to opt-out of trip insurance and made the decision to book a non-refundable reservation. Our team worked with you and modified our policy offering you a 100% travel credit for a future stay. We are working hard to be fair and flexible during this challenging time and are looking forward to having the opportunity of welcoming you once this is behind us. Sincerely, Chateau Beauvallon

We stayed at the Horizon II condos which are managed by the owners of Chateau Beauvallon. We drive an electric vehicle which I mentioned to the Tremblant rep who booked our stay, on one of our earlier calls. We booked the Horizon condo after confirming that electric chargers would be available. When we arrived, the gentleman who checked us in at Chateau Beauvallon had no clue if they were available or not. He then proceeded to give us the wrong instructions to get into our unit and what code worked for which entry point. This caused us a delay of one hour to get into our unit. We were traveling with my elderly in laws who were distressed waiting with our luggage at the entryway of the condo. They needed to use the washroom and could not enter the building as we were on hold awaiting assistance. A woman by the name of Madeline, at Chateau Beauvallon was kind yet uninformed of the basics of how to enter the building. We eventually figured it out after trying every code provided to us on the page. The code for the entry to the building was not specified.

We also could not access ANY electric vehicle charging units in the garage despite there being an electric vehicle charger located three spots down from where we parked. It had a lock on it. That spot was empty for the duration of our stay. We told them we needed to charge our vehicle so we could return home, that there was a charger as promised yet it was locked. We were told that the owner refused to give us access to it. When I am paying upwards of $1600 for a unit for three days, it is ludicrous that a simple Car charger would not be unlocked for our use. This issue cost us over 4 hours of phone time on our first day. That was four hours of a 48 hour vacation. Not only that but it largely ruined our experience for the first day of our stay. It was the exact opposite of what we went on vacation for and also the complete opposite as the service and hospitality we have received from Tremblant in our 12 years or vacationing multiple times a year.

I have to say though that I am most disappointed that despite three emails, two phone conversations and multiple other phone attempts, tourism Tremblant could not be bothered to follow up on this matter or offer even a basic apology. Absolutely horrible customer service on this trip which may well be our last despite vacationing in Tremblant multiple times a year over the last twelve years.

After speaking with several people at Chateau Beauvallon (in those multiple phone calls totaling four hours) my husband got a call back and was told that whoever told us that a charger would be available (you) did not know what they were saying. I am attaching a screenshot from the Tremblant website.

image0.jpeg

Between our issues not being able to get into our unit and the lack of basic access to a charger for our electric vehicle, my entire first day of vacation was shot.

I am extremely disappointed with this stay, particularly when paying the price point we did.
