Booked through VRBO with friends. The hotel and property looked amazing on brochures and images, but in person it needs some significant attention. Paint is peeling outside, the decor and rooms were badly outdated inside...they seemed to be suffering from staff shortages and increased wage demands like the lower48...but the staff that was there working was extremely nice! Pros: great location minutes drive from village, staff could not be friendlier...slightly less expensive than some other options ski-in/out in the village. (It is not ski-in/out but they have a very reliable shuttle.) The linens and pillows were fresh daily. Kitchen was nice but not fully stocked. Cons: the breakfast restaurant was closed, the indoor pool was completely empty, the outdoor pool was closed and empty, the bar was closed (we were told no bartender, quit), the 4 BR 3BA condominium we booked needed a complete renovation, all 3 showers had mold across walls and floor and leaked water, the rooms needed deep cleaning and new carpet, there was only 1-2 power outlets in each bedroom and a 6 foot extension cord running across floor to plug phones and electronics, the smart TVs were all internally deactivated from the network wi-fi no streaming any movies, only Canadian TV channels available. Kitchen was functional but not fully stocked. It would take considerable work, but this could be a 5-star gem!

Thanks for this review and for letting us know that you loved the location of Château Beauvallon and that our staff was a delight to interact with! It's nice to hear you had a wonderful experience with our complimentary shuttle and that you loved the kitchen in your suite. We also appreciate your candid feedback regarding where you've noticed room for improvement. This is helpful input and while we have noted the pool and bar closures on our site, we will certainly take your notes regarding other areas of improvement to heart. Reviews like this one are important as we're always looking to elevate the guest experience! We hope you'll come back again soon - we'd love for you to count on Château Beauvallon as your Tremblant home base!

This hotel is an absolute disaster. After requesting an early check-in, we sat in the lobby awaiting the cleaning of our room. After an hour and a half, at 5 minutes after 4pm (standard check-in time) I inquired on the status of our room and was told they would try to find something and "it's the busiest time of the year", it was a Wednesday! The manager (Alex/Alec) was rude and indicated it was only 5 minutes after check-in time but he failed to take into account my request for an early check-in and the fact that I had to approach him to ask about the status of our room AFTER THE STANDARD CHECK-IN TIME! The room he "found for us" hadn't been vacuumed and, upon opening the microwave, there were two plates of old spaghetti with red sauce sitting in it from the prior guests. In disbelief, I looked up at the ceiling to see spaghetti stuck to the ceiling! We had no choice but to settle in traveling with a 5 and 7 year old and after doing so, I went to bring these issues to Alec, he was nowhere to be found and the cleaning staff had gone for the day. The staff at the front desk advised that they would leave a note and I would receive at call in the early morning. I never received a call and we left to go skiing. WHEN WE RETURNED FROM SKIING, THE SPAGHETTI WAS STILL IN THE MICROWAVE AND ON THE CEILING!!! In disgust, I brought the plates down to the lobby and Alec indicated he was never informed and indicated it was a mistake asking "have you ever made a mistake"! He offered 20% off our stay. Thanks but for the "4-star resort" this place was horrendous. Indoor pool closed, restaurant closed, "renowned" scotch bar closed, moldy ice from the ice machine, the whole place should be shuttered. We could have stayed at several other local options that would undoubtedly be better for similar cost. Yuck!

Hi Myles - thanks for your detailed feedback. We regret to learn that you are unhappy with your recent experience here at Château Beauvallon. While we understand that you requested an early check in, we unfortunately do not always have the capacity to accommodate that request, especially in the busy ski season. Your feedback regarding the cleanliness of your room and the service you received are important to us. This is outside of the normal feedback we receive, so please rest assured that we will look into these items promptly as providing an all-around five-star experience to every guest is our top priority. If you wish to discuss your experience in greater detail, feel free to reach out to one of the hotel supervisors at 888-681-6611 and we'd be glad to assist!

We had a horrible experience with this hotel for Christmas and would recommend to stay away. To be honest I have never written a review on a hotel, but this was that bad. They lost power for the most part of 3 days (maybe more???) during the storm and did not communicate this with any incoming reservations. I only knew this because we almost drove on the day of the massive storm and called to ask if they would consider not charging us for that night since it was considered a once on a generation storm and we had to drive almost 7 hours. Of course they said no! Now let’s move on-What kind of hotel does not have a generator that is 4 stars? The worst part was how they dealt with it. The only person we were able to speak to was one reservation agent who worked from home and was unable to get in touch with anyone at the hotel (oh yeah his hours were 10-5, otherwise there was NO ONE to speak to). The general manager and any management was no where to be found and they ruined many peoples Christmas Eve and day. We were coming from 6.5 hours away and it was a difficult drive after the storm and no one could tell us if they had power. They also told us that we could not get a refund despite the fact that they had no power. After much argument, they agreed to a credit which was not useful to many people. We were finally told the power was back on and got to the hotel at around 7pm and low and behold we were told now there is no power again until 730am the next morning due to an electrical issue in the basement where fire trucks were there. There was only 1 person at the front desk who basically was not able to deal with many of the people who were quite upset. They had 1 staff in the entire hotel for customer service after a third day with no power and power only supposedly coming back on at 730 the next morning. What a nightmare.

Hi Vanessa - our team here at Château Beauvallon would like to thank you for staying with us during your holiday celebrations while visiting Mont Tremblant! We work hard to deliver an exceptional stay for every guest and would like to extend our sincerest apologies for not being able to meet and exceed your expectations during your visit due to circumstances beyond our control. The severity of this unprecedented storm caused a widespread power outage that heavily impacted much of our ability to provide exemplary guest services, as we were left with limited resources to address all needs at once. Our local Hydro teams worked diligently in restoring power to many affected within the surrounding areas with best attempts for everyone to not be without power and services during this holiday season and the priority was met on a case by case basis of urgency and safest accessibility. We certainly understand your frustration and we wish you had a better experience throughout your visit. However, rest assured that it is feedback like this that we can use to learn from and use to improve for future emergencies, as your satisfaction - and that of every guest - matters deeply to us here at Chateau Beauvallon! We hope you will use your credit to return to the resort under more ideal conditions so that you can enjoy the beauty and fun of the area with us!

We stayed at the Horizon II condos which are managed by the owners of Chateau Beauvallon. We drive an electric vehicle which I mentioned to the Tremblant rep who booked our stay, on one of our earlier calls. We booked the Horizon condo after confirming that electric chargers would be available. When we arrived, the gentleman who checked us in at Chateau Beauvallon had no clue if they were available or not. He then proceeded to give us the wrong instructions to get into our unit and what code worked for which entry point. This caused us a delay of one hour to get into our unit. We were traveling with my elderly in laws who were distressed waiting with our luggage at the entryway of the condo. They needed to use the washroom and could not enter the building as we were on hold awaiting assistance. A woman by the name of Madeline, at Chateau Beauvallon was kind yet uninformed of the basics of how to enter the building. We eventually figured it out after trying every code provided to us on the page. The code for the entry to the building was not specified. We also could not access ANY electric vehicle charging units in the garage despite there being an electric vehicle charger located three spots down from where we parked. It had a lock on it. That spot was empty for the duration of our stay. We told them we needed to charge our vehicle so we could return home, that there was a charger as promised yet it was locked. We were told that the owner refused to give us access to it. When I am paying upwards of $1600 for a unit for three days, it is ludicrous that a simple Car charger would not be unlocked for our use. This issue cost us over 4 hours of phone time on our first day. That was four hours of a 48 hour vacation. Not only that but it largely ruined our experience for the first day of our stay. It was the exact opposite of what we went on vacation for and also the complete opposite as the service and hospitality we have received from Tremblant in our 12 years or vacationing multiple times a year. I have to say though that I am most disappointed that despite three emails, two phone conversations and multiple other phone attempts, tourism Tremblant could not be bothered to follow up on this matter or offer even a basic apology. Absolutely horrible customer service on this trip which may well be our last despite vacationing in Tremblant multiple times a year over the last twelve years. After speaking with several people at Chateau Beauvallon (in those multiple phone calls totaling four hours) my husband got a call back and was told that whoever told us that a charger would be available (you) did not know what they were saying. I am attaching a screenshot from the Tremblant website. image0.jpeg Between our issues not being able to get into our unit and the lack of basic access to a charger for our electric vehicle, my entire first day of vacation was shot. I am extremely disappointed with this stay, particularly when paying the price point we did.

Understanding these times are trying for any business now due to economic recovery and staffing issues, we tried to be as patient as we could. Sadly, the state of our 3 bedroom suite was appalling (carpets were extremely stained and gross), unsanitary issues that would take a simple wipe to clean. We were told housekeeping would come the next day when we were out...we never saw them once in the 4 days we were here. Went back to the front desk again to speak with a manager and was told there was staffing issues. The one day we decided to swim, the outdoor pool was closed because their lifeguard just didn't show up. The restaurant was closed (which we didn't know before getting here), the bar was closed, indoor pool was closed, and we were very disappointed that the outdoor pool was closed to top it off. The front staff tried their best to accommodate the many grumbles of disappointment. Outside on our patio, it was littered with cigarette butts and garbage. During our stay, we never saw any groundskeeper or maintenance, but there may have been one, we are unsure. We felt that the beds were wonderful, sheets were clean, and that was the best part of our experience. Such a beautiful spot but so much love and care needed. Hopefully a larger corporation can buy it and give it and the community a proper renovation to offer better quality for people spending good money for a relaxing holiday environment. We certainly felt it was not worth the $2400 spent, unfortunately.

Hi Beth - thank you for your feedback and for staying with us! We are glad to hear that you found your bed to be comfortable and that you loved the location of the property! However, we regret to learn that you experienced frustration due to amenity closures. It's important to us that we're transparent with our guests surrounding what they can expect for their stay, which is why we posted about the interior pool, bar, and restaurant closures on our website. We also want to offer our apologies regarding the pool closure the day that you were looking to swim. Unfortunately, it was an unforeseen staffing issue and we are unable to open the pool without a lifeguard as guest safety is a top priority. We're happy to report that the exterior pool is back to its normal operation now and we hope that you'll give us another chance next time you're in town. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts!

We stayed here from Friday to Sunday Victoria Day long weekend (the big storm). We were a party of 5 adults and one toddler in the big 2 suite room. The place was great, costumer service was amazing, the room was clean, spacious and very comfortable. Overall we had an amazing experience, until the storm hit. There was a complete blackout in the area and we left Sunday morning with still no electricity. We made do and still enjoyed the rest of our stay. Obviously this is absolutely not the staff’s fault but many guests felt the need to be belligerently rude to the staff who were trying their best in such a difficult situation. I have to say, thank you so much for everything and for making our stay as comfortable as you could. We will definitely be back!

My family of nine had scheduled to travel to Chateau Beauvallon on Dec 26 through January 2. This was our Christams gift to our family which we confidently booked in July. In the days before our travel date, the COVID-19 public health crisis had escalated at a pace that no reasonable person could have anticipated. The Government requested that all non-essential travel be avoided in Quebec, and mandated that gatherings be limitted to a party of 6 as of Dec 26. Our party size and the non essentail purpose of our travel placed us in direct contravention of the governement restrictions. As it stood, we could not gather, eat together, or access any of the now limitted hotel amenities. This would not be the vacation we had agreed to or paid for. When we reached out to the hotel, to change our travel dates to comply with the Government directives, we were met with a rude and condescending response. The lack of flexibility and the manner in which we were treated by this hotel so disappointing. During what is an incredibly trying time, the Chateau Beauvallon was very unproffesinal and unreasonable adding insult to the injury of having to cancel a much-anticipated family vacation at a high cost. I would not recommend this hotel to any other family.

Old and very old. I was there 20 year ago and nothing change, except: No investment, no renovation, no pool outside, no pool inside, everything was closed, the roof outside is finish, the balconny need to be repaint. the room is from 2000, The service at the front desk is good and the driver shutle is very good. Other than that everything is closed and very old with no renovation. This is sad!! vert Sad. the owner don't want to put a dime into it and this is obvious when you know the business.
