        Emerald Lake Lodge was the most perfect setting for a romantic weekend away. The room, the lounge, the restaurant were impeccable. The staff were efficient and friendly. The food was wonderful. All together they made it a perfect weekend.

        We were there two weeks ago. The lake was still about 80% frozen. It could not have been canoed at that time.

        It was when we were there. I suspect it still is. Call their toll free number to see if the boathouse is open for business. It is there that you can rent a canoe. If the lake is open use caution! The water is very cold and... More
