We stayed at the Great Divide Lodge on the night of July 30, 2016. We just needed a room for the night as we were leaving early the next morning for a hike. Below, we will review various aspects of the lodge: LOCATION: This lodge is in a good location of you're hiking near Lake Louise, Alberta or Field, British...

Sometimes we splurge and sometimes we just want a decent place to stay when we know we will be gone exploring all day. I would put this place in the second category. Saying that, it was much more affordable than staying in Lake Louise and it was clean and the area is gorgeous. The staff was really nice and having...

I stayed here for two nights with two teens. Our room was a "lake view". Well, maybe if you stood right at the window and saw a bit of the lake through the trees. The view from the restaurant area is stunning, looking across the highway to Wapta Lake and the mountains behind. Flooring and paint in the room seemed...

Stayed here for a snowboarding trip. Super close to Louise. Dated hotel, the decor is bland and the bed was uncomfortable. Wifi wasn't the best, which makes its more difficult as there is no service in this area. The breakfast was okay, staff is nice. Not a hotel to stay at if you are planning to do anything late night...

Some rooms have the lake view which was fantastic! Lakes and mountains were very nice there!! The only downside is that the highway and railway is at the same side as well so noisy is also possible. The price is affordable Wifi is included Breakfast is included but better than nothing... The room was OK like a motel. The staff...

I stayed at the shared room so it was only $35/bucks a night but it was close to Yoho National Park so it did what was needed. It's also close to Lake Louise so it's all about location. The restaurant there was adequate and after a long hike was perfect

In little rooms of 4 so you have the peace and quiet but you can still meet people! I saw some reviews and I was scared of the road in front of it...But didn't hear it while there. for solo travelers that usually go to hostels it was just missing some kitchen but the restaurant is not expensive and food...

I've driven by this little hotel for decades and finally had the opportunity to stay there to do 3 days skiing at the Lake Louise Ski Resort. The building is old, but very clean. I'd rather an old, clean room than a dirty, new room. Staff were very friendly and very accommodating. The gal working the night desk lent us...

Stayed for one night in a "suite" which was a loft with a queen in the loft and a pull out sofa in the main room. Bare décor; uncomfortable bed; not functional wifi; uneven heat; and paper thin walls. Just a very tired hotel - maybe Canada's national parks won't let them rehab. Restaurant desultory as well. Good thing is...

We recently stayed at the Great Divide Lodge after skiing at Lake Louise. All of the rooms in Lake Louise and Banff were full. The price was right and it saved us driving into Canmore for the night. The rooms were clean and warm. As they use a generator for electricity, there is no fridge, microwave or kettle in the...
