Definitely going back! The rooms at the lodge were clean and comfortable. Meals at the Pub were great and the hot spring pools are the icing on the cake! Add in the scenery and not sure how you can beat it!

Very relaxing hot springs experience. Location is a bit isolated but expected for a natural hot spring. Lots of beautiful scenery and trails to take in nearby. Rooms and pools were clean. Lots of bugs around the outdoors area but once again, expected due to the location. Would visit again if I have the opportunity.

Great place for a little getaway this was our second visit. Our only complaint was the restaurant bar and grill didn't take reservations and for the patio they only were using half the tables so it was hard to get i

Having visited this property before, it was sad to see that the pool has declined. It hasn't been painted in many years. There is no longer a blue pool, but more like the colour of a sidewalk. Also, no lifeguard on duty with more than 300 people in the pool at one time. The deep pool is closed, as they aren't deep enough for a diving board, but not sure why this couldn't remain open for kids to dive and jump in from. Definitely not the Fairmont Hot Springs I remember from previous visits!

Overall the lodge was clean and well maintained. The lodge pool needs attention. Grounds and scenery were beautiful. We have been coming here for many years. Disappointed the clothing store was closed.

We were driving from Quesnel BC to Calgary Alberta and decided to experience Fairmont as Hwy 1 was closed and the detour brought us to the area. The beds in the room were the most comfortable ever. Experiencing the beauty of the natural springs and the viewing of the indigenous bath house was most memorable

Very disappointed with my overall stay. The only redeeming parts were the hospitality staff at bear paw who were lovely and welcoming, and of course relaxing in the hot pool. The bed was comfy, however the sheets did smell quite bad. I work in hotels, I’ve also travelled a lot. So I was a bit confused as to why check in time was at 4pm, as the majority of hotels are 2pm check in. We got there early, already knowing it was at 4pm but we were happy as we could use the hot pools. But we had no access to any ‘guest only’ areas until we would get our room key card. The room wasn’t ready until 3.30pm, which again I really want to state is not the issue as it was expected. What wasn’t expected is not having access to the guest areas which they throw on an extra 30 nightly charge. We were only there for a night, check out is at 11am (we asked to extend till 12 and could with ‘no extra charge’. Never heard of hotels charging for a late check out by an hour, beyond that hotels I’ve worked in charge a day room price but that tends to be if they want to use the room all day) and we intended to leave then (at 11.30 ish) as we had things to do the next day, so things like the driving range which is 2-5 we couldn’t really take advantage of or again, the guest only areas we only had access to for a few hours. So waste of 30 bucks really as the hot spring charge is only 12 bucks generally. On top of this, they put us in the wrong room. The receptionist, Renee, rang to tell us just after we had got settled in this room. When we went down to get our ‘new’ keys for the correct room, my boyfriend said she didn’t even apologise for her mistake. In fact, she was dealing with another customer at the time and didn’t even wait to be done just slid him the keys, which was rude to both us, and the other guest. As people who work in hotels currently and in the past, this wasn’t acceptable. When we moved rooms we found a peach pit under the bed, broken glass in the drawers and popcorn and tissue under the bedside table. They also provided no robes, which we know from previous visits and friends are supposed to be in every room. We had to ring to ask for these. I would have mentioned these issues to the front desk, however when we checked out the same woman, Renee did not even ask how our stay was, so I didn’t feel inclined to get into a conversation with her.

We were showing our visitors what Western Canada had to offer and we took them to Banff, Lake Louise, Waterton and Fairmont. Fairmont Hot Springs just stood out as the very best for value, amenities, comfort and service. We would highly recommend it to others who want to show off some "Canadian Hospitality and Great Lodging"

This resort is okay but don't look for excellent customer service or food and be prepared to hear the word sorry. We were charged a $27.00 experience fee which GST, PST & an Eco fee was added. Our room was comfortable but when my partner went to put a bag on top of the wardrobe he had to clean it first because of the thick dust.
