An old-style courtyard type motel. Rate was budget. Clean, bed OK, room a bit dark. Breakfast was grab-a-muffin-juice-and-coffee. Stay here for a night on your travel through Canada, but not for an extended time. Very friendly apparently family-owned motel.

We stayed here because, end of the day, we were tired of driving and all the other places looked about the same...... not many choices in the town. Adequate for one night, inexpensive, very convenient to Head Smashed in World Heritage Site which was our destination. Good nites sleep on a good bed. Very dated and old looking place.

We had a great room (#31) with a sofa along with a kitchenette. Everything is dated (old) but workable. If that is not an issue for you then you have a great place to stay. The staff is the best part, very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is simple: toast with spreads, fruit, yogurt, some packaged pastries, juice and decent...

Stayed for a single night at the Rest Coat during a road trip. The room was clean & I was willing to ignore the battered mismatched furniture because the bed was obviously new and of highest quality! I had a wonderful, comfortable sleep that night & continued on the next morning, refreshed and happy. I stayed in room 17. Breakfast...

The service at this motel was very friendly and helpful. Our room was very comfortable and it was fun to hear that it was where Jake Gyllenhaal and Heath Ledger stayed while filming Brokeback Mountain. The motel is in a quaint little town that has lots of charm.

I really don't know where the other reviewers stayed but it couldn't have been at the same place I stayed. Check in was awful, very rude. The stay included breakfast which was a bowl of cereal and a piece of very old looking fruit. The room itself was clean but the electrics need serious attention. Bathroom was something out of...

Friendly service at check in followed up with good advice on places to visit and local restaurants. Happy with our clean comfy room and ended up booking for a 2nd night. Breakfast included was basic continental with few options but was ok.

We met family there for a visit. Roomy rooms, clean, easy to park, ground entrance, friendly staff. We where able to stay past the check out to engender our visit because it was not a busy time of year

We stayed at the Red Coat Inn based upon advise from a local in Fort Macleod. We were told the rest of the hotels get booked up with a lot of oil field workers and thiis place doesn't. We liked the fact that it included a basic breakfast and had a indoor pool and hot tub.

Having researched area hotels prior to making our reservations, based on reviews from previous travelers, I admit that I really had high hopes for this little hotel, but sadly, I was very disappointed. I am not sure if it was just our luck to get a particularly small room with an uncomfortable bed, or perhaps that particular Monday night (traditionally...
