We were very happy with our Easter Weekend Ski Vacation! Things we loved: 1)cookie making/baking/decorating and bag making for the egg hunt. 2)very generous egg hunt for all ages of kids. 3)sledding hill with cool sleds. 4)heated pool that was tolerable for adults and awesome for active kids. 5)nice/hot hot tub. 6)well appointed room with lovely kitchenette so bring breakfast...

We spent three nights at Alta Crystal Resort in July 2016, along with our two grandchildren, ages 7 and 9. We appreciated the convenience of having a two bedroom, 2 bath cabin with a small eat-in kitchen, living room, and seating on the porch--lots of room to spread out and relax! We cooked our own breakfast each morning, then headed...

We stayed in condo C5... our two kids loved having their one lot queen sized beds and we enjoyed having our own separate bedroom. The Outdoor pool was so fun for swimming in April at 30* outside, and the hot tub was so relaxing!! The pool and hot tub were very clean and so was the room. We enjoyed making...

Perfect getaway for a couple of spring skiing days with the kids. Wonderful amenities, great walking trails and gracious staff. Quick and easy drive to the slopes. I couldn't imagine staying anywhere else. We'll be back!

The loft unit was amazing and roomy for our family of 5. convenient location to Crystal mtn. Jacuzzi and heated pool made our spring-break stay enjoyable. the free snacks (wine for adults :)) during the movie was a bonus!

Really disappointed in Alta Crystal resort. First of all, the pictures of the unit we requested was FAR older and not as nice as the picture they have on the website (especially for the price). I'd equate the quality to that of a Super 8, honestly. The kitchen is TINY and laid out horribly with the stove under the loft...

We are always sad to see a negative review, and truly wish we could please everyone. In 2016, we had over 5200 room nights, which equates to somewhere around 15,000-20,000 people, so we know we can’t please everyone – but it still upsets us to know someone was so disappointed in their stay. We sincerely wish Kira had said something...

This resort is about a 15 minute drive to the ski area at Crystal. The room we stayed in was very nice and the kitchen was adequate. The bed was comfortable. It's nice that they have hundreds of movies to borrow!! The hot tub felt so good after a chilly day of skiing and the game room is very cute...

What a lovely location about 8 miles short of Crystal Mountain ski area. Well appointed cabins, a heated pool and a hot tub make this a great location in you want to be a little away from the main ski area. There is no restaurant or food service, this is self catering or eat out. The main office/reception includes a...

Because then it would make the place more popular and expensive. Nevertheless, Alta Crystal is family-friendly, with evening activities like bonfires, movie nights, etc. (Santa came to the lodge on Christmas Eve). It's a little old-fashioned, but in a good inclusive communal kind of way. The proprietors could not be more gracious and accommodating. Our room was a loft suite,...

We just had our 5th annual family winter retreat and it was amazing! The owners made sure the 25 or so of us had everything we needed. The rooms are so cozy and romantic! What a beautiful setting! This is a great place to really "get away from it all".

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The perfect getaway for Mt. Rainier National Park and Crystal Mountain. Charming chalet suites & a romantic honeymoon log cabin are tucked in the national forest, just 1 mile outside the northeast entrance to Mt. Rainier National Park & 7 miles from Crystal Mountain and its new Mt. Rainier Gondola. Soak in our hot tub and swim in our year-round heated pool (heated to 90° in the winter) -- we're Crystal and Mt. Rainier's only accommodations with both. Fireplaces, small fully equipped kitchens and renovated mountain lodge style accommodations are perfect for couples and families. Guests love our evening activities (weekends, holidays and summers) such as bonfires, movie nights, karaoke, crafts parties, and summer barbecues. Hike, sightsee, bike, ride horses, play disc golf in the summer. Ski, snowshoe and play in the snow in the winter. Open year-round. ... more   less
