We stopped in for a bite to eat and drink. Very old and dated, felt like walking in to old peoples home. Major refurbishment required. No espresso machine, filter coffee was luke warm. Nice outdoor area for kids and to have a drink whilst watching them. A shame kids couldn't swim in pool (hotel guests only) whilst parents enjoy food... More

Thank you for your comments. Surprised as the hotel has recently undergone some major renovations, including the bar, outside area, lounge, toilets and a large number of the rooms. Please have a look at the other hotels along the coastline before you make comments stating we look like an old age home. Its wrong. We cannot allow visitors to swim... More

We had a pleasant stay at the hotel, with no serious glitches, BUT we consider ourselves "seasoned" travellers, and for what you get, this hotel is way overpriced. Like-with-like comparisons at other accommodation options around SA will give you far better value for money. We stayed in one of the self-catering units. As per previous reviewers, furniture is out of... More

Beautiful hotel and venue with absolutely amazing bar/restaurant staff. Sadly, the owner and elderly management are the most horrible and grumpy people. They make you feel as if you are not welcome and must never return.

We booked two nights at short notice and were asked if we liked fish - yes we said, not understanding why the question was important. When we arrived, after the 10 miles or so down the dirt road - at the end of which there is the "Danger speed bumps" sign - we found out why the question was asked.... More

The situation of the hotel is absolutely magic. Peggy was great with our booking. We stayed in the honeymoon suite. The hotel definitely needs an update. Furniture very old and tatty. The picture painted in this bathroom is very 'kitch'-I would like to suggest to remove it. We had clean rooms and linen. Breakfast is only for an hour -8... More

The road to get to Haga Haga is a challenge but can be done with a normal vehicle, you do not need a 4x4.. We stayed in one of the sea view cabanas at the hotel. The units are virtually on the beach and you have a great view and can hear the sea when you lie in bed at... More

Our room was average, we were right in front on the ground floor so we had a lovely seaview. The bathroom was a bit old & needs a bit of work. Our friends were in the room next door to us & their room & bathroom was lovely, much more modern than ours. The carpets in the hotel passage smelt... More

This family run hotel offers good value. The meals are ample and varied although the menu is somewhat dated. The service is top notch and very friendly. I feel that the rooms could do with a revamp. A queen or king sized bed would be a welcome addition as the double is a little cramped. For some obscure reason we were... More

We spent a night at Haga Haga arriving late Sunday afternoon. We were forewarned about the road which was not too bad and mercifully short. We had heard really good things about the place. However first impressions were of a rather dilapidated building which, in fairness, was undergoing renovations or extensions. Our room had a good view but as with... More
