Wonderful views of beautiful landscapes and Loch Carron. Can't imagine a more beautiful environment than this. Felt like I was walking in a past age when looking at the nature around me, yet I felt so relaxed with the people here. The staff in particular made me feel like I was welcome and at home. A perfect balance between finding...

We had a brilliant holiday at this hostel. Ewan and Kath were amazing hosts. The location is stunning and anyone who cannot see this needs to be certified. The rooms were very clean and tidy and we were given our own key (security was very good). The fact that this hostel is in the middle of nowhere makes it extra...

Can't say one bad thing about the place. The rooms and common room are very pleasant, even cosy. The staff is friendly and helpful beyond what one expects. The location is somewhat lovely. Would recommend to anybody.

I was up on a training course in Achmore and decided to return to the hostel, I wsnt disappointed. Ewan's place is still warm, comfortable, reasonably priced and the friendliness is a really positive feature. You also get the chance to meet really interesting people, have a chat, share food, wine or beer I will return later in the year...

Stationmasters Hostel is an absolutely lovely hostel in the tiny village of Stromeferry. We were 3 girls and all of us loved it there - great location at a lake, where you can relax perfectly. You should rent a car though as a car makes it much easier to get there and see the surroundings. Nice rooms, good kitchen and...

We spent one night here and we weren't disappointed. A really lovely hostel, warm and homely and the guy who runs it ewan is really welcoming. The best bit about the hostel is the view of the loch and the wee beach plus the village of stromeferry (no ferry) is quiet and peaceful. Really clean and fresh room plus breakfast...

Wooden bunks (rather than the typical prison-style metal cage), several clean bathrooms, lots of hot water in the shower, very (very!) friendly hosts ... simply perfect! The price includes a small breakfast (toast, cereals, and your typical beverages), the common room is cozy and there also is a nice outside sitting area. Only 15 minutes by car to Eilean Donan...

We were looking for a cheap accomodation just outside Skye Island and we arrived there almost by chance. What a nice find! Although the location is pretty remote (no grocery store within 20 miles..so plan your food before arriving !) It is also a beautiful setting with a magnificient view and really cozy atmosphere in the living room! The kitchen...

“Tips & Tricks: Bring some things to cook! Try asking around the butchery and seeing if they have local dishes for you to try your hand at and spend some time in the kitchen. There aren't any good take-out places nearby but that's sort of the point isn't it? The hostel is quite clean, didn't even have to unroll a sleeping bag. There is a window to the left of the fireplace in the living room with a tartan cushion. This is the perfect place to watch the sun come up and spot some otters without having to leave the warmth of indoors. Ask them to strike up a bonfire! Don't spend all of your time on you computer! Yes they have wifi but they also have miles of hiking trails and great Scottish hospitality, take advantage!”

“one room has two beds, one room has six, and two (i believe) have 4- so they should be able to accommodate any size group whether it be a couple or a group of friends.”
