Hormond House is an elegant oasis in the picturesque village of Polruan. We stayed in the large first floor room at the front of the house. The room was stylish and calming in the manner of a boutique hotel, which was a delight and a surprise. Bella is convivial and very welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. Everything you might...

We stayed here for two nights and had the large front room with the real log fire and massive bed . The whole house is amazing but we felt like royalty staying here and couldn't of been happier , breakfast was a work of art and really set us up for the day . Thoughrolly recommended 😄

We had a wonderful stay (1 night in July 16) in perfect Polruan: warm welcome, uncomplicated arrival, restaurant recommendations, spotless, cosy and very well designed house and room with tea, hot chocolate, cookies,… Excellent, yummy breakfast cooked ʻon orderʼ, which is served at a big table in the family kitchen together with a nice ʻpersonalʼ chat making you feel like...

Large bright and clean room in a big family house. Friendly hosts, delicious breakfast. Quiet village with wind-ey roads for access but worth the trip. Beautiful views & walks. Access to Fowey by ferry.

Let me start by telling you how extremely helpful and lovely Bella is, the lady who runs this establishment. We were checked in very smoothly and shown to our beautiful, clean and comfortable rooms. All set up with sky, fresh milk and tea/coffee/hot chocolate making facility which needless to say I availed numerous times during my two night stay. Next...

Where do you start, the first time we visited was 4 years ago, I don't know how the owners do it but the place always looks bright clean and beautiful. This time we had a toddler in tow, as you all know toddlers can have their moments, in spite of this Bella still had a few minutes to bring a...

Spent 2 nights here over last weekend with my wife, son, daughter in law and grandson for a local wedding. Occupied two rooms both very clean and comfortable with the larger room at the front easily large enough for a cot and the assorted baby items needed for a 10 month old. My wife and I had the room at the...

I stayed here for one night and despite arriving near 9pm the owner was really friendly and I ended up having the best room in the house which was magnificent. I was staying on sole rate but this is well worth £80-£100. The room was massive, clean, had 2 large lovely old windows, comfy bed with lovely linen. There was...

My wife, 8 month daughter and I spent one night at Hormond House following a wedding locally. Bella and her husband Chris went out of their way in checking us in early, and helping with our luggage. The room was really great, as was the breakfast, but It is the warm welcome they gave our daughter which we appreciated most,...
