My friend and I traveled through the east of Canada and made a stop in Tara to visit the Bruce Peninsula Nationalpark. We had a warm welcome from Miriam and John:) Breakfast was awesome ,the room couldn't have been better and we had lovely chats with them. They also gave us great tips where to go. We can strongly recommend...

It was a beautiful old home with each room having a unique theme. The beds were extremely comfortable, the washrooms excellent, and the breakfasts best of all. The only issue was the bedroom doors didn't lock...

Hubby & I stayed here early in August and loved the house. Our room was beautiful and comfortable....the only issue was the street noise through the open windows during the night since we faced the street. The breakfast was yummy but seemed to be missing something to make it complete......perhaps some protein in the way of bacon, sausage, etc......all three...

John and Miriam were incredible hosts. They cook a mean breakfast, offer great recommendations for area attractions, and manage quite an impressive B&B. We were really lucky to have found this gem. Tara is close to everything - from cave hikes to boat cruises to beautiful beaches.

We came to explore the Bruce Peninsula, and we are glad we did. We had the ground floor ensuite room. It had a superking sized bed, which was so comfortable, and a great shower room, with superb toiletries. The breakfast was a filling home cooked dish ( Bavarian Omelette) and fresh local fruit & Yogurt. The hosts were very helpful...

Our stay couldn't be better! The Doctor's B&B is well located in this beautiful little city, called Tara. The house was super clean, with a wonderful breakfast, and the owners were very kind and polite all the time! We loved it ;)

Our stay at the Doctor's House Inn made up for the cold and rainy weather during the last weekend of June. The Inn is a large, Victorian-style home with a number of rooms, shared bathroom, living room, dining room, and a beautiful garden. The hosts were pleasant, approachable, kind, and very helpful at giving suggestions on what attractions to visit...

Beautiful home, with gracious hosts. Nice comfortable rooms, and breakfast was fabulous. Stairs may be issue for some, although there is a ground floor room. Local sites are few but Owen Sound, skiiing and golf are not too distant.

So often, we dream of travelling off into the dark blue yonder, and we forget that there are treasures right under our feet. We received blank stares when we told people we were going to a local B&B, just because. They couldn't understand why we would spend time close to home, just for a night away. We had received a...

“All the rooms have very different benefits depending on what you need, e.g. bed size, bathroom, stairs etc. The School Room does face the street and thus takes on a bit of street noise, plus street lights. There is no one above you, so you don't hear footsteps.”
