We did a family trip where we stayed in a yurt and it was such a neat experience! Even in the rain. The amenities as clean and warm, so it was much more pleasant than regular camping. It does get a bit noisy at night...More
I'm not sure what most other people like but I will tell you what I think.
If you find the pristine views overlooking a beautiful, desolate beach are terrible, don't come here. If the gentle soothing sounds of the waves lapping on the shore don't...More
First off, don't mistake this resort as a typical hotel resort, it is not. The lodges are individual cabins that you rent; there is no 'restaurant' to go to unless you drive to town. Bring your groceries and be prepared to cook in the kitchen...More
We booked Yurt #12 for the second weekend of September for a party of three. The accommodations are as described and the beachfront setting cannot be beat. The simplicity of the accommodations is reflected in the price.
Staff at the check-in location were very friendly...More
We had the end two bedroom cabin on a private beach at Wya Point Resort. The cabin was beautiful with wood beams and native carvings. Because it is isolated we brought our own food to cook in the kitchen, which was fairly well stocked, but...More

Our experience was that there are a lot of casualrestaurants in Tofino serving comfort food but we thought there was a real lack of more vegetarian food and creativite cooking. We mainly BBQ'd in our cabin. We did not try Wolf in the Fog or the Japanese place, but they looked like the better bets. Careful though things close pretty early in the evening. Tacofino taco truck was the best meal we had. There is a reason it is rated so highly on trip advisor.

We have food caches located down by the campsites where guests can store their cooler/BBQ/food supplies, these caches are just a short walk away.
The water doesn’t get too high, but you are just steps away from the beach.
