Lots of positives about this place. The grounds, the location, the restaurant. Really liked the pub and the deck overlooking the water. However, the rooms are terribly dated, and a very much overpriced. Although this is mentioned time and time again, it looks like ownership doesn't care. A little calcium on your gravel roads wouldn't hurt in keeping the dust...

Very run down property. The location is lovely, right on the lake, but unfortunately wasted with this resort. The rooms were dark, musty and mouldy. The walls and floors so thin we were awoken numerous times by the neighbours simply moving around upstairs and beside us. To make matters worse it is extremely overpriced. The restaurant was not bad however...

Just got home from there today. I'm not the type to stay at a place like this, I prefer 4-5 star hotels so I kind of lowered the bar of expectations. It did however exceed my expectations. As mentioned before if they invested some money into reno's it could go along way. I do believe the prices are on the...

We went to the restaurant of this hotel to get some dinner, since it had been recommended to us and it was close to our B&B. The first waitress was nice, took our order, told us there was no problem to have the food take-away (which was very welcome) and told us it would take about 30 minutes to prepare....

Just had a weekend here. Peak season, last minute booking. We paid $450 a night for the Lodge 2 location, midway between the pool and the lake. We had 4 adults and 4 children in there. it was tight but you can make do. For the money it worked but believe me, you are not getting luxury or high end...

When we arrived, we were directed to our room which required us to climb a rickety old staircase at the back of the building. It felt like a roadside motel. The room was outdated but clean - certainly not up to expectations or the price we paid. On the upside, I asked for a "less rustic" room and mentioned I...

Our jacuzzi room was not that clean musty smelling and dusty , the bathroom door did not shut and at nite the outside light shone into the bedroom so it was hard to sleep as well the only saving grace was the restaurant food and service was good. Prices need to be lowered on rooms or renovations and more cleaning...

We took advantage of the midweek special, and booked a 2 night stay for $249.00 which also included 2 $30.00 meal vouchers and 2 hot breakfasts. We also obtained a free pass to go to Sandbanks Provincial Park for the day. We stayed in the annex in room 121, it was a jacuzzi room, it was old but clean and...

Heard alot about this place...WOW what a dissapointment. 180$ for what.. one night??? rooms that need major renovations, pool is a joke falling apart, beer cans and smokes all over, I felt like I was staying at a cheap Highway Motel. The main restaurant was again overpriced and our kids were affraid, it was very dark we felt like we...

CONS: Had high expectations, and came away with poor results. Rooms probably haven't been updated since 1983. Sink was in middle of bedroom, tub in disrepair, blinds didn't work, no curtains and mattress must be from garage sale in the 80's. A little mattress pad doesn't make up for it. Pull out couch right under Window A/C, not ideal. Desks...
