We stayed here for two nights to explore West Yorkshire and visit The Yorkshire Sculpture Park (very convenient). Richard and his team couldn't have been more welcoming. Rooms are clean, comfortable and unpretentious. The food is very good and the freshly cooked Whitby haddock rates amongst the best we've had. The steak and ale pie was excellent too and the...

We stayed 3 nights at the Rose and Crown in August. It was a great location to base ourselves to tour the area. The Landlord Richard was a fantastic host who helped us plan our days to get the most of what the area had to offer. The pubs accomodation was good, the food excellent and his range of Ales...

My wife and I needed to stay an extra night in Yorkshire so booked a room at this lovely pub at very short notice. We were given a very warm welcome by the staff and the room was clean and tidy with en-suite facilities. In the evening the bar was fairly quiet but the locals are friendly. In the morning...
