The Steigenberger Airport Hotel Amsterdam garners praise for its modern vibe and clean, spacious rooms, with special mentions of the heated bathroom floors adding a touch of comfort. Guests appreciate the array of amenities, including dining options, a gym, and a pool, complemented by the hotel's efficient shuttle service.
While the professional staff receives accolades, some guests have noted high costs and occasional service delays. The proximity to the airport is a highlight, though there are mixed feelings about pricing and room cleanliness.

Stylish, modern hotel reachable by shuttle from Schipol Airport. The transport is available every 30 minutes each way and it takes about 5 minutes. The lobby is spacious, clean, modern, and full of light, even in the middle of winter. At ground level, there is an internal courtyard, nice to use in better seasons and there are also three restaurants, of which only one was open during our stay, the Sports Bar, where we had an excellent, albeit expensive dinner. Dogs are allowed into the hotel but NOT inside the bar, therefore we had to eat our meal in the cocktails area.
There are several lifts to the different wings of the hotel. Ours was at the bottom of a stylish corridor. The room was spacious and perfectly organized. In the hall, there is a wardrobe, a safe, a cute, glass, extensible closed with tea, coffee and a kettle. The bathroom had a bathtub with a shower and a rod cleverly running along the whole length of the washing basin, to hang your towel. This hanging facility is sorely missing in lots of hotels, so one must pile up the wet towels randomly.
The bed was large and comfy and the sitting area included a leather armchair with footrest and a glass-top desk, to increase the feeling of space.
Excellent furnishing, use of space, and facilities, I enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend it.

The beds and pillows are phenomenal. The rooms are modernly furnished and high-quality materials have been used.
The sauna and wellness facilities are very spacious, well maintained and again of high quality. The equipment in the fitness room could use an update. The equipment all works properly but is quite dated

The shuttle runs very punctually and regularly to the airport. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms well equipped (coffee machine!) and clean. Changing rooms is possible without problems.
The sports bar has excellent meals and a good selection of drinks.
Would love to come back next time in Amsterdam

My hotel experience was quite disappointing in some aspects. The cleaning service was a letdown as they either came very late at 5:00 PM or didn't show up at all, leaving the room untidy. The sheets were only changed once a week, which made me feel uncomfortable during my stay. Additionally, the restaurant prices were too high for the quality of the food they served. To make matters worse, I encountered insects like spiders and other bugs in my room, which made it difficult to relax. The gym was small and didn't maintain properly the equipment for a satisfying workout.
However, the best part of my stay was getting to meet some wonderful people. Milly and Noam from the kitchen were incredibly kind and made breakfast a delightful experience. They always greeted me with a smile and served delicious food. Victor from the reception was also very helpful and friendly, making me feel welcome from the moment I arrived.
Despite the disappointments, the warmth and friendliness of these three individuals brightened my days at the hotel. They truly made a positive impact during my stay

I spent continuous 35 days in this hotel as part of business trip. The stay was really comfortable. The rooms were spacious enough and provided all the basis amenities required for a comfortable stay. There is an in-house gym, swimming pool and sauna which can be used free of cost by the traveler. There is provision for underground parking which is charged at 30 euros per day. A sumptuous continental breakfast spread is provided in the restaurant which has all the varieties expected of a high-class restaurant. There is a live counter as well and Milly at the counter is really lovely, handles the counter efficiently and makes delicious omelettes as per your wish. I had really good conversations with her during my stay which made me really comfortable at the start of the day even though I was in a foreign land. The hotel provides free shuttle service to and from the Schiphol airport every 30 mins; the timings of which can be found in the reception as well the airport bus waiting area. The only negative for me was the flexible charges for the same room- the room rate varied during my stay from 100euros to 180 euros for the same room, which I found to be illogical when the booking for the entire stay was done well in advance. Overall, I would rate this hotel as one of the best airport hotels in Schiphol area.

We booked this hotel for two nights after a transatlantic cruise, having spend one night in Rotterdam prior to staying here. We booked this location due to the proximity to the airport & the fact that it has a complementary shuttle that runs every 30 minutes to both pick up & drop off at the airport. This proved extremely convenient, as we were able to catch the train at the airport to take us directly to the Central Station in Amsterdam, which is in the center of town & the sights. The hotel staff were very accommodating & helpful. The room didn't have a USB port or US electric outlets to charge our iPhone / iPad, but the staff were able to loan us a converter for the length of our stay - very much appreciated! The room was very clean & comfortable - we especially likes the heated floors & mirrors in the bathroom - a very nice touch! All in all, I'd definitely book this hotel again if I return to Amsterdam.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel to the fullest and would like to make a clear recommendation. In view of some critical reviews I have read in advance, I would like to emphasize that sensations and criticism are of course individual – but I cannot share these negative impressions in any way. My stay has been consistently positive and I hope my review will help ensure that this hotel receives the recognition it deserves.
The beds are extremely comfortable, which ensures a restful sleep. The rooms are not only well equipped, but also excellently maintained and clean. All the staff – whether it be room service, reception or breakfast and restaurant areas – Claudia is especially noteworthy – are friendly, helpful and attentive throughout. You really feel welcome and appreciated as a guest.
A special highlight is the breakfast buffet: The quality and variety of food on offer is exceptional and clearly stands out from what is usually found in hotels. Here, attention is really paid to every detail.
The fitness area also impresses all along the line. The appliances are modern and well maintained, fresh towels are always ready, and the premises are spotlessly clean – a real plus for anyone who wants to stay active on the go.
I would particularly like to highlight the excellently organised shuttle service to and from the airport. This works absolutely smoothly and is a great convenience for travelers.
In summary, I can fully recommend staying at this hotel. I will definitely come back and look forward to my next visit!

I initially stayed at Steigenberger Airport Hotel in Amsterdam against my will, owing to a missed connecting flight. The comfortable room and friendly atmosphere changed my mind, and the complementary breakfast buffet made me wish I could stay a few extra days.
As I said, while the room and all the hotel’s trappings made it worthwhile, the breakfast buffet was enough in itself to make me want to return for a longer stay. All the standard offerings of a hotel buffet (fresh-squeezed fruit juices, coffees of surprising variety, hot-off-the-griddle pancakes with a wide choice of toppings, various cereals and fresh vegetables), I was quite shocked and elated to find freshly baked salmon among the many offerings of meats, as much as I could choose to eat in a sitting.
The restaurant staff, both cooking and serving, was helpful and friendly, and went out of its way to accommodate its guests. As a traveling American, I found no language barriers.
I plan to return to this great city some day for a visit, not just an overnight stopover, and this will be my hotel of choice.

This has to be the worst 4 star hotel I have stayed in for free wifi. They advertise 60mb speed but you are lucky if you get 1/2 mb. This means to Zoom/Teams call are not reliable and keep dropping out, it take ages to upload and download documents, so not suitable if you need to do work in your room.
Each day I vacated my room by 13:00 each day and the room was not cleaned during my 5 day stay.
Complaint to management went on deaf ears, they were simply not interested.
So if you need a hotel to do some work in while you are here forget this one and look elsewhere.

Pension with its own shuttle to the airport (10 minutes). Very spacious well decorated rooms, well equipped. Comfortable bedding. However, the TV (very nice flat screen) did not work! I call the reception and she tells me that there is no possibility to intervene in the evening but that on tomorrow morning it is possible... For an Airport Pension not having suitable staff in the evening is not acceptable! Too bad because the rest is very good including the very complete and fresh breakfast. Squeezed orange juice, waffles cooked on site , fruits , eggs in all forms etc...

Sorry, I do not have any additional info for you. We were diverted there due to the Blizzard! They were great handling the blizzard influx and redirection of travelers experiencing weather delay obstacles.
Shuttle from the hotel runs frequently. We took it back to the airport and took the train to Central Station in Amsterdam. The trains run frequently and only take about 20 minutes to Amsterdam Central.

It all depends on the hotel. If they are close to the airport, then it could be as soon as 15 minutes between shuttles. Ours was a half-hour between shuttles and it was the Holiday Inn Express by the airport. Best is to call the hotel and they will tell you exactly when their shuttle arrives. The other thing you need to worry about is that there are two places at the airport that the shuttles stop. Make sure you are at the right place!
There are more places to choose from in the Schiphol area.
