Stopped off on drive to Kent from Edinburgh for lunch. A really quaint pub with a very friendly and entertaining barmaid/landlady. Lunch nice too. Had the pulled pork baguette and companion had the lentil soup, both lovely and good value. Would live to stay if I'm going that way again.

The bedroom was small and basic with a plastic cubicle bathroom the size of an average shower. Sitting on the loo was an art form, with knees touching the...

Came in on a dreary Thursday evening, lady behind the bar was very warm and welcoming. Great service from the bar, food was also nice. Bar was very clean, and the locals we spoke to were very welcoming and good craic. The lady behind the bar was very helpful in giving information about the local area. Would visit again!!

We stopped here for a light lunch after a morning's fishing. The weather was beautiful and the pub food came recommended by a local. We were served by a very friendly barmaid who served a very good ale - speckled hen. The meal came quickly and was traditional Northern fare. The pulled pork was tender and beautifully cooked but too...

My husband and I have travelled to the Bay Horse on several occasions now. We regularly partake of the seniors menu on a Tuesday and Thursday lunchtime. The food is delicious, beautifully presented and amazing value for money. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. This is a pub with a long history, is comfortable and interesting, and the staff...
