Nestled into a Berber Village in the Ourika Valley was Kasbah Omar. We stayed for 3 nights on a culinary tour with Access Trips. Our host at the Kasbah was Kareem and it was as if we were all guests in his home. The decor was authentic and warm as was the staff. The views of the mountains and the...

We also stayed in the Ourika Valley (not sure why it is categorized as in Marrakesh) with an Access trips tour. It is newly refurbished, and nicely appointed. We were initially taken aback with the classic Riad architecture which affords no windows facing outward to take advantage of the view or to receive much natural light. Our room was large but...

Once in a while, you land in the right place, with just the right traveling companions, cared for by just the right host. Here at Kasbah Omar, that special someone is Karim, who seemed to be everywhere all the time with anything we might need. Kasbah Omar is warm and welcoming, from the unique decor of the individual rooms to...

I spent 3nts here with an Access Trips culinary tour. What a magical wonderful place--location and building. Close to Marrakech and all the fun of Ourika Valley, it's perfectly located in the shade of the Atlas Mountains. Nestled in a quiet Berber village you can meander around with ease. The food is wonderful as well. Kareem is a great host,...

Nestled in the hillside of Anrar, Kasbah Omar offers the best of the High Atlas mountains. Views are spectacular both day and night. Each room offers something unique - a private terrace packed with charm and beauty overlooking the mountains or an oversize bathroom with a miniature berber village in the corner presiding over the huge stone tub. All are...

This Ourika Valley riad is like an oasis in the middle of a dusty, charming valley speckled with little gems such as an elegant house that the rock musician Jimmy Hendrix once owned. I was at Kasbah Omar with a group of 12 on a culinary tour hosted by an adventure company called "Access Trips". The highlights included cooking classes...

Our stay there was somewhat marred by my daughter being very ill with a pretty bad stomach bug. The manager, Karim, was wonderful and so accommodating. On our first day my daughters stayed at the kasbah while we had a wonderful tour of the town with Karim - having lunch with his parents who live in a typical Berber village....

First of all, I give this place an A+ on hospitality and authenticity. Kareem could not have been more welcoming as he sat with us and talked as we were served mint tea. He then took us on a walk around the mud huts of the Berber village and then down by the river to see the collective vegetable gardens....

Kasbah Omar, perched in the Ourika Valley outside of Marrakesh is an absolutely wonderful place to stay. Karim, the manager did an amazing job to make our stay enjoyable - walking us through the little village, escorting us on a hike, teaching us how to make mint tea and setting up a cous cous making lesson with the cooks. The...

Had I have known that Kasbah Omar and Karem were on 30 minutes outside of Marrakesh- I would never had stayed in the city. Kasbah Omar transported me to another time and the Ourika valley is something that should not be missed. Karem was one of the best guides I have ever had (he also manages the Kasbah). His patience...
