This was my second visit to the site. A very well laid out site with plenty of facilities, clean and user friendly. We enjoyed a lovely meal in the bar and used the nearby Tissington Trail for a nice long bike ride. Although site is in a disused quarry we managed to get a great signal for the TV. Only...

Not a great place if your looking good for a quiet holiday or have young children. There was a very large teenage birthday party, very noisy going on till late at night. Reminded me of Haven type holiday resorts which we didn't expect. If you like haven type holiday you'll like it. If your looking good for a quiet family...

Called for lunch whilst driving past. Guests do not have to be staying on site. Smashing small Cafe, Dad said it was best omelette he'd ever had. Our coffee was brilliant, very good barista, all in all I recommend this place to campers and passing traffic. Lovely

A generally very nice place. The timber pods are very cosy, and have a woodburning stove that can be used for cooking. A shame they don't supply pots or pans, or tell you they don't. The previous occupants had kindly left half drunk bottles of coke, wine and milk, and the cleaning staff thoughtfully left them for us, along with...

My family stayed in a medium timber yurt for two nights. The yurt was spacious and once we got the fire going it was lovely and warm. However, it wasn't as clean as we hoped considering there's not much in the yurt to clean, there were lots of cobwebs and the mats and mattresses have seen better days. The yurts...

The location was ideal, for the walking and cycling holiday we were having, we stayed a week and spent 2 days cycling and walked the other days, we stayed in one of the bed and breakfast rooms, the room was very nice, and the breakfast was of very good quality and large enough to last all day, the only problem...

We booked in here with our D of E group. As it was so cold, I went in to a B & B room. The restaurant and cafe served excellent food. There was clearly a problem with the wet room en-suite in the room I was staying in as several guests had made comments in the book. However, the owners...

Stayed at Rivendale in a pod for a mountain bike cycle weekend with my partner. Very clean pods inside and out with patio area and safe place to BBQ on patio. On site showers are very clean and well maintained and the pub is warm and welcoming. I would definitely recommend staying there.

Situated in an old quarry, the site is well landscaped with very good facilities. I had a static caravan there for five years so cannot comment on actual tent areas other than that they are attractive. I recently made a visit in my first venture with a small caravan and found the pitch to be level and therefore easy for...

This was a nice campsite which is kept quite clean with nice toilet/ shower facilities. However, we were a family in a tent. The camping field is furthest away from the toilets which made no sense and was awkward with a 4 year old who needs to go frequently. The parking situation in the tent field was ridiculous and meant...

Thank you for your review, the toilets are about 100-170 metres away from the tenting area, but you can always bring a portaloo as the waste disposal point is much closer. We check around closing time for noise, but do not have nightly dog patrols as they have not been needed over the past 16 years at that hour of...
